From the first time I heard her music I knew she had what it takes. My favortie song is "The Battle Is The Lord's". I feel hie blessing in the presence of all my enemies. They are everywhere.I love the lord he help my ever need. I feel that Yolanda has help my ever need also. I love her albums and everything. I have to have ever albums she has bought out. I love her music.

Yolanda I fell in love with her ministry in Ft Worth, when she performed at the convention center for the Martin Luther King Holiday. I recently saw her at Six Flags and she ministered to each every one of us. I have to have her albums because she has the songs that not only make you dance, but they minister to you as well. May God continue to bless you in your ministry.

Just when you think Yolanda has done her best she gives you more. Yolanda justs get better and better! This CD is abosolutly wonderful.

If you haven't accepted Christ into your life listening to "Come to Me" will make you want to accept him right where you are. "In His Presense" lets you know that you are never without him.

This CD will uplift you and bring joy to heart no matter what you are going through. You will stop right in the middle of what you are doing to give the Lord Praise.

Every track has a divine message.

We all know Yolanda's voice is beyond comparison, and for the most part, all her albums contain top-notch material. But "Songs From The Heart" is her masterpiece. Every single song from beginning to end seems tailored to Yolanda, something that cannot be said of some of her earlier efforts.

This album fully realizes Yolanda's passion for gospel with heavy jazz overtones, and she takes full control of every song. Her voice is in top shape on this collection, with all of the various shadings and astounding range that characterize her work (although her absolute best singing can be found on the "Save The World" album). Still, believe the hype: vocally and interpretively, Yolanda's special gifts place her well above most rivals. The production values on this album further enhance the quality of the material.

Since this album was recorded, Yolanda has scored very well with a more R&B flavored sound on "Mountain High, Valley Low," a great album in its own right. She has maintained this more R&B flavored mainstream approach on her successive releases, which are commercially viable but a bit less satisfying overall than her 90's work.

However, nothing captures Yolanda more in her true and natural element than "Songs From The Heart." It's a wise investment, and no contemporary gospel collection is really complete without it. Enjoy.

I truley Admire this Girl. You know,it's really something when you can HEAR and FEEL the "ANOINTING" through Memorex(recordings)/Real Life!I don't even care for "Contemporary Gospel"(that's just me and I'm not that old either!Gospel has been my preference of music all my life and until now I have never,ever heard nor felt anything like I do from "YO-YO" (I'm up to date a lit'a bit' ha ha)I thank GOD for her Anointing,her Sincerity and the REALIZATION that she brings forth.For it is the GOD in her that she is sharing with us. The GIRL is Bad! "GO'ON YO-YO WI'CHA BAD SELF"

I really enjoy this project. I listen to it about everyday. It uplifts me and helps me through the day. As I write this review, the song "God will take of you" rings in my head. The song "Still I Rise" is very uplifting. I find myself listening to it often. All the songs are wonderful. She stills encourages me through song. I hope to see her in concert one day. She is my favorite artist. I recommend this album to everyone. As she once said in an article in Gospel Flava. Gospel still has the same purpose to encourage and inspire and this is exactly what this album does. Keep up the good work Yolanda. God Bless You.

Yolanda has done it again as a person who has been through and is still going through some obstacles; her music ministers to my spirit and allowing God to touch and heal me when I think the impossible is not possible. My greatest prayers are with you Minister Adams you truly are one of Gods' choosen leaders of the WORD. I have never seen her in concert; however, I have heard her give a sermon of undeniable gospel that changed a large part of my life// she speaks from the spirit and the spirit speaks through her so he words are GOD given and GOD blessed. Again this is a CD/or tape no one should be without... The message will help to heal the problems you face, and endure you through the storm.

Oh my gosh, I love this CD 4 so many reasons and 4 so many ways!! First of all, the anointing is thick on this CD!! Its like she doesn't even has to try, its already there!! Each song has a different story to tell, and each one is filled with hope, spirit, encouragement, and just filled with JESUS!! Thats the best part!! Second of all, her voice is impecable on this CD! I've never heard her voice sound so crisp and lovely! Then them notes she be hitting be out of this world!! I be like DANG GIRL, can you come out the clouds for a minute! Third of all, she has so many diverse styles on this CD. She has ol' skool, JAZZ(my fav), ands some new skool too. Too me, this is her best CD too date. I mean I'm still listening to it and its 2006!! It came out 8 years ago! Fourth of all, its Yolanda Adams people! I absolutely loved her since she was a little girl singing ''My Liberty'' with the southeast inspirational choir! I absolutely love her, but most of all I love the GOD in her! (I mean the living and TRUE GOD, JEHOVAH) Buy this CD and you'll be glad you did! Remember, NO BOOTLEG COPIES!! How you gonna bootleg in JESUS name. Ya'll need to ask for forgiveness!! Support my girl, and you won't regret it!! Trust me!

There isn't one song on this CD I dont love.
Still I Rise has gotten me through some "stuff".
This is one of the CD's I put in my CD to listen to as I drift off to sleep. No it isn't boring... it's comforting.
SERVING GOD IS SOMETHING WE ALL NEED TO DO.

I must say this CD help me through some rough times. I first listened to this CD from a friend who let me borrow it my freshman year of college. I recently pulled out this CD because I wanted something that would uplift me and I thought songs from the heart. I must say I fell in love with "Still I Rise" She works her voice on this song so well. This CD is nice and relaxing. It is jazzy and smooth. Like somone mentioned in another review this cd has very nice Jazz overtones. All of the tracks are great.
