This may not be for you if you're only looking for those raw, percussive guitar sounds. But it definitely is for you if you want to broaden your understanding, and your ability to enjoy Hendrix' masterly structure and genious song-writing, upon which this album is obviously based. This jazz piano version could only have been produced by someone with Hendrix deeply in their heart and blood. And, not only in their heart, but in an impressive musical consciousness able to digest and work with this material.

Reaching Jimi from the heart of New York,

The depth of this music is touching to your heart. It is not an easy job but Reed did it. When you buy the CD just realize you are not going to be hearing guitar(obviously). I think Jimi would've like what Reed did with his work as much as I did. I think you will too.

how can you bend on the piano?,
By A Customer

The whole essence of Jimis playing was in his bending. This album sounds like a bit of a joke. I have lots of piano albums but none capture the spirit of Jimi. Give us a break.
