I love this band!I heard them at the Radio Tavern in Grand Rapids, Michigan in early August. Maybe one of the best live 4-piece bands ever! I'm playing "Songs From The Resistance" as I write this. Intense and beautiful.........the jonnies are a bit "heavier" live....maybe on the next disc they will include some stuff from their live shows! My faves are "Money and Sex"...."Naked is the Price"...."No More Flags" and "A Land of Silent Thunder". Their social attitude and positive lyrics give us much needed hope in this world gone wrong.

The new album by the Jonnies is an album to pick up. I have listened to the tracks many times (i also own their first release). The song "Money & Sex" often reminds me of a Radiohead song from the album "OK Computer". It compares in quality to, "Paranoid Android" because of the way the song is arranged. "Land of Silent Thunder" is a unique track. It must have taken me a couple times listening to the song to realize there is never a snare drum struck throughout the entire track. The album amazed me by its sometimes obvious and sometimes hidden messages. I encourage you to find your way to this album as quick as you can.

This new cd is quite unique and inspiring. I just recived my copy and have enjoyed listening to it more than most cd's I purchase. Hope the Jonnies continue down this road with their unique style catching the hearts of music lovers everywhere.

Songs from the Resistance is a great record. My favorite songs are Money & Sex, Naked is the Price and My Favorite Room. Naked is the Price is one of the best songs EVER written IMHO! The combination of Pat Dawdy's songwriting and the Jonnies razor-sharp timing equals a mind-bending trip on aural acid. Dave DeHaan's guitar playing is not to be missed... see them live if you can. I recommend getting a few friends in the car and taking a long journey while listening to this CD, preferably away from the city. (PS: TURN IT UP)

I've been listening to this band for a few years now and they never cease to amaze me. Even though they have never been able to have a budget for the production their songs deserve, the disc still sounds wonderful. This music should be heard by everyone. the jonnies confront real issues with a true concern for the well being of us all. They are more concerned with evolution than revolution....."Naked is the Price I guess"......

The disc is incredible ... if i do say so myself as wife, mother and friend of "the jonnies". i actually cried at the end of "Naked is the Price." The disc is a very moving piece of art.
