GREAT ALBUM,

I love Jeff's music. It was such a loss when he died of cancer. This is his best (in my opinion) album ever even though it s a posthumous release. It exhibits his brilliance on the guitar and flair for live performance.
Just the first three songs make this one worth buying. I've always liked the live versions (when the sound quality is good) of songs better than the studio versions and this is no exception. His rendition of Robert Johnson's Breaking Down blues is absolutely brilliant.

Great Last Album,
This review is from: Songs From the Road (Audio CD)
I think Jeff Healy does the best covers of Beatles tunes, and he covered quite a few. The first time I had ever heard of this great guitarist was in the movie "Road House". After that I had to have more of his music. His "Yer Blues" was the first Beatle cover I had heard that was really good. He followed up on this album with a cover of two of my favorite Beatles songs, "Come Together", and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". I will miss him very much.

An excellent taste of what Jeff left behind...,
This review is from: Songs From the Road (Audio CD)
Jeff Healey was an amazing musician with a flair for fluid, sharp bluesy guitar. Everyone who ever played on a stage with this man had nothing but glowing kind words for him...to say nothing of his attitude. Plagued with cancer throughout his short life, he soldiered on, playing anywhere and everywhere with everyone who was willing to share a stage with him. The man just oozed class and confidence, even when the pain must have been near unbearable he polayed his heart out. This album is just another example of what a real musician's musician was.. Jeff didn't just raise the bar...he was, and remains, the bar.
