a gift for all ages,
By Patrick Byers, composer (New York, NY United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Songs of Senescence (Paperback)
Only recently has life quieted. At those times, I renourish the empty human spirit. THus, I read "SOngs of Senescence", a bit curious about the dancer's approach to poetry.Instead, I discovered an artist with a touching, humorous, life embracing gift for our nation's seniors. It's a gift for all ages. I am 53, my wife is 33 and her mother is 60. My wife sent a copy to her mother for Mother's Day. There have been classics for each age group except for seniors. I only hope these poems will gain a readership that will make them a classic. Meanwhile, here in our family, alongside Mother Goose for the little ones, Harry Potter for the pre teens, and Lord of the Rings for the teens, "Songs of Senescence" will fill an important gap. |
