Terrific blend of fun gospel songs and old time favorites.
The Tune Book is a great resource for the musician who just wants to have fun. In the style of popular "Fake" books, The Tune Book blends sacred, gospel, campfire, and old time favorites together in 202 pages. Dozens of songs with chords and melody lines let the improvisational musician generate hours of musical fun. Great for youth groups, churches, camps,...

Outdated, but fun songs
Our Texas Koinonia group ([...]) has used this book for 23 weekend retreats as our main music book. There are a lot of great songs, both Christian and secular in the Tune Book <><. Our Texas Koinonia group ([...]) has used this book for 23 weekend retreats as our main music book. There are a lot of great songs, both Christian and secular in the Tune Book <><. Our main concern is the book was last updated in 1988 and some of these songs do not register with younger adults these days. As head musician on many of our retreats, it has been a real challenge to supplement current songs in our weekend mix. I have had to use other sources to accomplish this. Our board has asked me to find an updated song book similar to this one that has a mix of Christian and (clean) secular songs, but not so out of date. I haven't found anything and I'm currently working on publishing my own book, containing a mix of songs to suit our needs. If you like classic folk songs, mixed in with some contemporary (as of 1988) Christian and older gospel songs, this book will fill your needs.
