I feel in love with this book the moment I saw the cover. The prose are written in English and Spanish. A perfect combination since it opens the book up to various populations.

At last! A bilingual picture book that is a biography of a strong family, with a very strong mother who raised another wise Latina woman, our new Supreme Court Justice. I expect this to become almost as frequently read in my 3rd grade bilingual class as La LLorona, the classic folktale.

I think I learned more about Sonia Sotomayor in this book than I did in reading about her during the nomination process for the Superme Court. Mr. Winter tells me about the person. That is much more interesting than much of the nonsense people said about her after her nomination.

Love that she shared her story in such a lovely manner. My 10 year old daughter had re-read this book about 20 times. She doesn't come from such a challenging background but I hope it still Inspires her to reach for big things. Great illustrations.

This book teaches the history to Sonia. It was wrote in English & Spanish. I recommend this book, because it help the person believes that all is possible if you work hard. I will expect that you enjoy it.

Pride and inspiration leap off the pages of this bilingual children's book about the woman who single-handedly made "wise" and "Latina" synonymous.
