this is a good clock for hard sleepers and those who want an alarm clock that will wake you up silently. I'm currently delpoyed for the 2nd time, i got this clock to so could wake up without wake up other in the tent on differnt shifts

this is louder then any other alarm clock i have had but not but that much. what i like and wakes me up is that you can change to tone of the alarm. i do this every day so i can get used to it. the shaker is ok. it fells more like a back massage. also given i grow up in California sleeping through earthquakes it doesn't do that much for waking me up. but after the alarm wakes me up it helps prevent me from going back to sleep. i also love the design.
