Old, but upgradable,

This is a very old piece of software, whose technical support websites were discontinued three years ago. Neither Acid Style nor Sound Forge XP 4.5 is available any longer.
You can no longer register the product online, and you can no longer access the "free" downloadable packages associated with them. The products work fine, for what they are, but they are very limited in scope, and the price I paid was a rip off. Basically, the only advantage to buying this product was that they made upgrades available to the latest models--Soundforge Audio Studio 8.0 and Acid Studio 6.0, at very steeply discounted prices. All in, I will have gotten the new programs for a total of $80--about half their retail value. I don't think it was worth the aggravation. |
