About the Author
Patrick Spaziante, or "Spaz" as he is commonly known, is a comic book artist who has worked primarily for Archie Comics. Spaz is currently a penciler and cover artist at Archie Comics on the Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series, and the Sonic X and Sonic Universe comics. But while Spaz is best known for his work with Archie, he has also created illustrations and comic books for such companies as Marvel Comics, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender.

so after i got my 50$ boy scout amazon.com giftcard i entered the code and ordered this. ig to it and it was AWESOME. it includes a bunch of normal issues and then it has a bunch of extra stories. this also marks a very important part of the comic where the comic turns from the lighthearted version of sth to the darkness of sth. the cool thing though is(and this is still true today) they didnt change it all the way. instead they made the storyline a bit darker but kept a lot of the jokes in it too. overall great comics great storyline great everything.i agree with the other guy though. they should've just put both parts of the metal sonic story into one book cause now whenever i want to read the rest of it i have to open sonic select and search for the story. which is slightly annoying but rewarding. buy this book and archives 12 and 13. they are so good you will not believe it.

My six your old son and I both loved this book. The Sonic comics are deeper than you'd expect for a video game comic. Which is not to say they are profound, just that there is a little substance to the fun.
The one problem with this collection is that part of the Mecha Sonic story is in a different book. You will need to buy Sonic Select Book 2 to see the whole thing. Also these collections are only about 2/3 the size of a comic book. A little small but still readable. Just don't be surprised when it arrives.
