5.0 out of 5 stars This is the best book for Sonic the Hedgehog fans!
This is the best book for Sonic the Hedgehog fans! When I read this book I found out that Sonic's group of Freedom Fighters isn't the only one. One other Freedom Fighter is a woodchuck named Digger. In this book Sonic and his friends search for the king (Sally's father)'s list of every Freedom Fighter on Mobius. Robotnik is looking for it too. Who will find it first,...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not my first choice...
OK. If you're like me and just need a Sonic Fix to last until the next Comic installment comes out, then this book is worth it, assuming you find it cheap. But as a landmark book in the Sonic Genre... you're better off making up your own stories or rewatching the Dic Sonic underground DVD's.

I know, but I'm not telling!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Sonic Mystery, July 11, 2006

This review is from: Sonic the Hedgehog: Fortress of Fear (Paperback)
This is the hook on the back of the book:

"Sonic the Hedgehog is searching for something hidden in an ancient fortress. Unfortunately, the evil Dr. Robotnik is looking for it, too. If Robotnik finds it first, he can rule the entire planet. In this story, Sonic faces his greatest challenge. Can Sonic solve the mystery in time?"

This book tells a story of Sonic set within the univserse of the Saturday morning cartoon commonly referred to as "SatAm." All of the characters are there, Sonic, of course, as well as Sally, Tails, Antoine, Bunnie, Rotor, and the villains, Robotnik and Snively. The Freedom Fighters are searching for a list that reveals the whereabouts of all of the other Freedom Fighters on the planet, following clues, infiltrating Robotnik's fortress, and fighting swatbots. Good, clean, Sonic fun.

For kids who like Sonic and adults who remember and still love the cartoon, this is a good book. If you like this, then be sure to check out Michael Teitelbaum's first two books in this series: Sonic the Hedgehog and Robotnik's Revenge.
