3.0 out of 5 stars Decent product, but worth the $?
Brushing your teeth with Sonicare takes a while to get used to -- seems the motor in the thing must have been built by Briggs and Stratton. 5.0 out of 5 stars Sonicare is best toothbrush bar none!!, November 2, 2008

We have used Sonicare toothbrushes since the time they had to be purchased at your dentist's office. Our children are now grown and have children of their own so we are now on the third generation of Sonicare users. Clean, healthy teeth are wonderful!!!!

Why is it so difficult to find these replacement brushes? Thank goodness for Amazon! My orthodontist gave me a Sonicare when I had my braces put on (at 40 years old ha-ha!) and it came with these shorter brushes. When it was time to buy replacements, I could only find the longer ones, and I quickly realized that there is a reason these shorter ones are more expensive. They are SO much better! You can get the brush all the way around your back teeth without gagging yourself, and you can "focus in" on areas without annihilating your gums! Personally, I prefer these ones because I think they do a better job overall, so I'm willing to pay a little more. They say that you should only use them until the blue strip dissappears, but I use mine until the bristles first start to splay out, and that takes a lot longer than the strip lasts. Now that my braces are off, each brush holds up a good 3 months for me.

Ordering replacement brushes. Used product for years. Good product. Better than a regular toothbrush. Recommend it for everyone.
Protects teeth. Use it every day several times a day.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for small grooves, August 28, 2011

I love this particular toothbrush head for my Sonicare UV toothbrush. I feel like it does a better job with smaller grooves, especially in those smaller wisdom tooth cavities all the way in the back. I prefer this toothbrush head over the larger Sonicare UV toothbrush head with the angles.

The brush heads arrived promptly and were the correct product to fit the base unit. What more could we want?

I have been told that the smaller heads are good for getting all around your teeth. Particularly for those of us with smaller mouths, they seem to work well. Pity they are so expensive.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for after dental surgery!, February 3, 2010

I love my Sonicare Proresults toothbrush! This is my second toothbrush after having the Braun 3D which was also good but the Sonicare is even better. The compact brush was really helpful after having dental surgery in order to get to the back teeth without touching the area worked on. You cannot find these in stores--I tried unsuccessfully until I found these at a great price at Amazon.

Brushing your teeth with Sonicare takes a while to get used to -- seems the motor in the thing must have been built by Briggs and Stratton. After a week or so, you do get used to it, and shortly after that you get almost addicted to the sensation. The intense power of the thing translates into excellent teeth cleaning ability, so, the answer is "yes" to the fundamental question of "does it work?".

My only gripe, as you might have surmised from my review title, is the brush and the replacement heads are pricey. Almost too pricey in my opinion. So while I admittedly like Sonicare, I can't be sure I'll run out and buy another one when it dies out on me.

Finally, a tip: I recommend getting the compact (vs. full sized) heads, as they enable you to reach and clean the nether regions of your mouth.
