La Mente is one of the bands that best reflect the limitless culture of their city and country: Lima, Peru. Lima is a place where distinct realities, identities, necessities and references converge. La Mente formed in 2006 and issued this album Sonidos Del Sistem: Electropical (Sounds of the System: Electropical) in 2007. These 17 songs represent a new style of music dubbed "Electropical." The sound is a mix of bass heavy dub, Ska dancehall, reggae, cumbia guitars, procession sax (the traditional religious music of Peru) with lyrics that are both fiercely realistic and ironically fictitious. Sin duda alguna, uno de los mejores discos que escuchado ultimamente y de "La Mente" Reggae, Rock, Fusionando diferentes ritmos tradicionales sin perder su esencia Peruana! Una verdadera Jolla para el World Beat o Reggae Latino!!! Ojala vendieran mas discos de bandas como esta de Peru y otros de sus paises vecinos...
