Sonix Snap Slim Case for Verizon or AT&T iPhone 4 with 2 Screen Protectors (Black)

I have owned the iphone 3GS and now the iphone 4. Between the 2 I have purchased 3 different cases for the iphone 3GS and this is my second case for the iphone 4 (I also have the Apple bumper). The cost of the various cases I have bought have ranged from $20-$50. Here is my basic impression of how the Sonix case stacks up:

1. Build quality: This is a very thin and lightweight case. If you want a case that will protect your phone from drops, the Apple bumper may be a better choice. In fact I did drop the phone with the bumper and there were no scratches. Zero. Haven't had an accident with this one, but it's a nice quality case, with a very nice grip but it's main function is to protect the phone from nicks and bruises in daily use. I have switched to using this as my default case.

2. Design: This is the best 'looking' case I have ever owned! It is very slim and light and compliments the iphone 4 beautifully. Whereas with the Apple bumper you completely lose the metal looks of this band, this one keeps enough highlights of the aluminium band that the phone does not lose any of its attractiveness. With ANY other phone I would not care about cloaking the phone in a case, but the iphone 4 is a thing of beauty! You just need to see it and hold it to know what I mean. This case is unique because it does NOT change either the balance or the looks of the phone. It compliments it very well.

3. Impact on antenna issue: Frankly I have had no dropped calls with my iphone 4. It is better than my iphone 3gs in very way in terms of call quality. In fact I was in the Outer Banks recently and while my wife Sony Ericsson C902 phone had a hard time keeping a signal for a call, the iphone 4 had no issues. I do have the issue where the bars will drop when you hold the phone a certain way, but it has no impact on my call quality. This case, like the bumper helps in not dropping the bars compared to holding the phone, but it does not help or degrade the call quality. So, if you are looking to get this case to help with call quality I am afraid my experience in both the Washington DC area and the outer banks and places in between says it won't help or hurt...

4. Value: At $19.99 this is a no brainer really. You get the best looking case that is very functional and elegant. I don't really use the screen protector. The screen on the iphone 4 is already pretty glare resistant - more so than the 3GS, so the screen protector can help with scratches but not for glare. For what it's worth I used my iphone 4 as a GPS for our trip to the outer banks. The screen on the iphone 4 was completely readable even in the brightest and direct sun light. The screen on the iphone 4 is fantastic and covering it up with a protector doesn't seem like a good idea (to me at least).

Overall, I am really happy with this case and would recommend it to anyone.

This case is just what I was looking for. It's very similar to the Cozip case I used with my original iPhone. It seems to provide some decent protection for the phone and allows me to get a better grip on the slippery bugger. I was worried that the "stilts" might be something goofy, but there really are no stilts. The front of the case simply has a lip which is slightly higher than the glass on the iPhone. It looks nice and elegant.

I have been experiencing the reception problem when cradling the phone in my left hand. This case helped a bit with that. My bars still go from 5 down to 1, but I no longer lose the connection and the 3G data transmissions don't grind to a halt any more. I think a thicker case (like the Apple bumper) would be more successful in maintaining the signal.

Note that the "photo" shown is not quite accurate. It's more likely an artist's rendition. The edges are not as rounded as shown and the volume buttons are not visible from the back.

If you're looking for an iphone 4 slim case then stop looking. This is it. The case itself is very slim and low profile for that snug bareback like feel, yet the smooth hard rubber back and sides allows for excellent handling. It's also great for tight jeans and clothing, I can now insert and fish out my iphone 4 without a hitch.

Unfortunately this case is not going to provide much protection against a hard drop at waist level but that isn't the point. You can buy other bulky and unwieldy cases for that. Think of this case as the rubber coating that Apple, in their hubris and arrogance, omitted to ship with every iphone 4. It even comes with a decent screen protector, hence for the price this combo can't be beat. My only regret is not ordering this case before AT&T and Apple bent me over and raped with their lousy $30 bumpers and $20 screen protectors.

Fits perfectly, well made, tight tolerances, great feel, not slick, low level of grip but not grippy enough to interrupt sliding in and out of jeans front pocket. Both screen protectors work well. Very slight table-top elevation provides great a great lip by which to grip/hold the phone. Easily the best iPhone case I've either owned or touched - for any version of the iPhone. Completely solves the reception/antennae problem. All plugs and buttons easily accessed.

My main concern with the cases I was researching was that they would not fit in my various docks and holders I have lying around. In particular, the Apple case was great but would not fit in my Konnet stand or Car mount due to the connection hole in the case being only large enough for the stock Apple cord. The incipio case I tried also had issues as the back piece of plastic covered part of the bottom base. This case, however, fits perfectly in all mounts and stands I have tried so far. The backing covers the glass but does not encroach on the bottom near the usb connection, so all third party mounts, chargers, stands etc should be fine.

I have an iHome as well and it fits great. The quality of the case is great as well. The seams are not evident, the finish is just the right texture. It does not feel cheap.

I was pleasantly surprised that this case fit so nicely, given the reviews of some other cases. It has a good feel to it and doesn't add bulk, which allows me to slide it in and out of my pocket easily. It allows access to all of the buttons and the camera/flash.

It also came with both an anti-glare and a regular screen protector. If anyone has applied these in the past, they will know what to expect. Just be patient and accept that there will be a couple of bubbles in the end, but it will save you aggravation of having a scratched phone screen.

I highly recommend this product.

Works great and I really like it! The only problem is the cases corners are a little bit sharp but tat was easily fixed after filing it down a bit.

This is hands down the best case for the iphone 4 to date. If you want a case that is not bulky and provides complete protection, this case is for you. It comes with a screen protector for that extra protection. The case is a easy click in installation and fits perfectly. Also the texture of the case is nice and is easy to grip. Great product from sonix!

Overall is a good case. About as thin as possible (my phone with the case is still thinner than my naked 3GS), with a nice hard but rubbery feel. The lip around the front of the phone just barely raises the glass from the table, and I suspect that it will not help too much in a fall if that fall is flat on the face, but otherwise should protect from other angles. I am happy that my iPhone 4 is a bit more protected.

This is a perfect case for the new iPhone 4!!! 2 screen protectors come with it, which is a must have for the iPhone - and the screen stilts thing is cool too. Great value - definitly recommend!!
