OS X Update: All Encore/ZIF upgrades are fully compatible with any version of OS X that can be natively installed on your Macintosh. In some cases, users may need to download a small software updater. Most configurations are compatible as shipped by Sonnet.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Sonnet Technologies EG4-1000-1M-U Encore/ZIF G4 1.0GHz Processor (Personal Computers)
I waited until it was almost too late to buy one of these, but it's the best purchase I've made in ages. I have a blueberry (B&W) G3 with the blueberry keyboard and lcd. It's gorgeous. I love the colored macs, and mine was running out of steam. I considered adapting the case for a newer logic board and processor, but everything works great on this machine. It just wasn't fast enough anymore. I thought the tiny fsb woud negate most of the benefit of upgrading the processor, but was I ever wrong. The upgraded B&W holds its own alongside a 1.5 gHz powerbook and remains the single most stable computer I have ever owned.
