Don't buy this. It's junk., June 7, 2006
This review is from: Sonnet Technologies T133FWU2-M Tempo Trio PCI Adapter Combo w/FireWire, USB 2.0, ATA/133 for Mac (Personal Computers)
Bought this card and it has been nothing but trouble. Crashes on deep sleep and occasionally also causes my entire system to fail. The worst thing is Sonnet support just says don't use sleep. No they are not fixing or replacing my card because the problem is known and intermittent amongst buyers. And they don't mention it for that reason. Not good service or a good product.

Really no stars, Sonnet is terrible., September 15, 2006

I won't touch any of their items. First the business doesn't operate like anyone else. They just don't answer the phones. Had trouble with just ordering something from them. Don't trust them.

Usage of product, July 21, 2007
This review is from: Sonnet Technologies T133FWU2-M Tempo Trio PCI Adapter Combo w/FireWire, USB 2.0, ATA/133 for Mac (Personal Computers)
Product is doing what it says it does. I still have an issue with running 3 hard drives.. The third hard drive displays only after restarting the computer. I've written to Sonnet, no response from them on this issue' I've also switch positions of the hard drives, made sure which ones where set to master and slave... This is when Sonnet should be responding.. hope their reading this now..

The card is not the problem for sleep issues, June 30, 2007

If these buyers had done a little homework, they would have found deep sleep is actually a problem on a LOT of systems. <http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/firewire/fw_usb_card_deep_sleep.html> is one important read for these folks -- or any buyer. I have two of these cards -- in a beige G3 and a blue&white G3 with a g4/800 upgrade installed (another Sonnet card). I never use deep sleep. Either the mac is turned off or it's in use. But it appears to be endemic with early versions of Tiger. Read up.
