I bought this bookshelf based on reviews elsewhere on Amazon, but was disappointed in the overall quality. Yes, I knew I was buying chipboard/laminate construction, but one of the sides was drilled improperly and I had to use a coping saw to make the pieces fit -- something that I have the shop tools to do, but what have been a major pain for somebody without a home workshop. The front trim boards are not even fixed -- they're held on by tension with soft dowels. Yes, you could glue them, but the design still makes them flimsy and wobbly. As others have pointed out, even the adjustable shelf pegs are cheap and flimsy -- and odd place to save pennies, and requiring you to not only buy sturdier pegs, but also to re-drill the holes for the larger diameter peg.

Overall, it will do the job, but I would have expected to pay have the price for the quality I received. Stick with the popular brands if you're going to buy chipboard furniture! I learned my lesson.

As an aside, delivery was prompt and packaging was excellent from this particular vendor -- just wish the product was as good as the service!
