Sonora Poncenas first album.,

This was this legendary Puerto Rican band's debut album and is full of solid salsa. While not as strong or as unified as subsequent releases like "Desde Puerto Rico A Nueva York", "El Gigante Del Sur" and "Determination", it's still among their best.

La Sonora Ponceña, also known as "El Latigo del Sur", recorded this "salsa" masterpiece in 1972,with Tito Gòmez(RIP) and Luigui Texidor as vocals,and Eladio Peguero "Yayo El Indio" and Adalberto Santiago on the chorus.The titles: Changüirì, Suena Tu Bongò, Tù y Yo Na'Mà, Tu Son Mi Soro, Yo Vengo Del Monte, Como Mango, (merengue)Naciò Cansa'o, and bolero Cariño Mentiroso are classic oldies.

This 1973 release was one of several albums which Larry Harlow produced for this ever-prolific band during the 1970s. "Suena Tu Bongo", "Imploracion", "Yo Vengo Del Monte" and "Carino Mentiroso" are true Sonora Poncena classics.
