A must-have book for your library of Desert Wildflower books. It is arranged by color of bloom, has beautiful photographs, and the text is very informative. Each plant description also has a comment of something unusual or interesting about it, which is a novelty for a flower book.

This is a professionally prepared field guide to the wildflowers of the sonoran desert. The pictures are superb. The flowers are arranged by color making it easy to use for the casual flower enthusiast and botanist because the families are alphabetical within each color section. The book has a nice binding to withstand field work too. Each species account has common and scientific names of the species and family, defining characters, flowering season, habitat/range (including altitude) and comments. Excellent addition to anyones library that has an interest in sonoran flowers!

How many times have you been out exploring and come across a wildflower, asking yourself, I wonder what this is? Well this will tell you. it helped me identify several flowers/bushes on my treks from the Superstition Mts. to the White Tanks. Well done. Great photos.
