I loved basically every single thing about this book. The characters were so believable and the more you "got to know them", the more likeable they became. The plot was tight and I couldn't put this book down. I saw where another reviewer didn't like the switching back and forth between when the friends were in the present and when they were children. I actually loved this part of the book. This is where you learned the backstory and formed the friendships and got to really know your characters! My favorite Stephen King novel (It) did the exact same thing. And speaking of S.K., if you like scary, this book is for you! There is a little bit of blood and guts but it wasn't overdone at all. Trust me, I love scary but not gore so much. I am anxiously awaiting another book by the author. Hurry please!

Unknown author, first book -- and wow, close to a masterpiece. How splendid to have literary-quality writing and heart-in-the-throat fear factor. It won't be long until this author is on a bestseller list. Until then, grab this bargain and enjoy the ride.

You might want to keep the lights on.

Great story, very engrossing. It pulled me in from the beginning and held my interest throughout. I can see them making a movie from this book! The one thing that took away from the story was the editing. Throughout the book, there were words left out of sentences that were quite obviously supposed to be there.

Even though I was nervous about what would come next, I couldn't put this book down! I read the book in two days, despite the list of other things that needed to get done. Sons of Dust captured my attention, drew me in, had me caring about the characters, and on the edge of my seat with what would come next. The story isn't predictable and is very well written. I'm looking forward to reading the author's next book.

This book had a lot of action in it and was a quick read. The author's physical descriptions of scenery , etc were not so that I could visuallize them easily in my mind. This book also needs to be proofread for there are far too many spelling and word errors in it. For example, when Marcus tried to open his car door to escape Lucien he could not turn the "doorknob" instead of open the "door handle". All of these errors are distracting and could have been easily corrected.

Great writing! This book is a page-turner! It held my attention from beginning to end. The characters are so alive you can see them. I liked the way the story gave us present and past flashbacks of the group of friends growing up together. I want more from this author.

I have to admit this genre is a little outside of my regular read but picked this up on advice of a friend. I'm glad I did and loved it. It took a little while to settle into the style but after a few chapters I was hooked. I kept visualizing the movie.

I have read thousands of books over the years. I am a true horror story fan, and this book was right up there with the best of the best. It took me about a week to read it because I couldn't read it at night. That's how freaked out I was. There were a few typos but hey, no one is perfect. I've read books where I know they were proofed by 5 or 6 people and sometimes they just get missed. I would highly recommend this book to anyone that loves creepy books!
