For all strength sports fans,

This book is written by strength sports historian David Webster. He has been involved in highland games and strongman now for many years and knows all of the athletes personally. This book is the second of a series that profiles the top strongmen primarily of the mid 80's to early 90's. The largest section of this book is dedicated to the sport's top star of that time period, Jon Pall Sigmarsson, a four time World's Strongest Man, who unfortunately, died prematurely at the age of only 33. I highly recommend this book if you are into strongman.

anyone who is involved in any of the strength sports (or pretty much ANY athlete, for that matter) will absolutely LOVE this book. Little known (and for the most part amazing) feats by accomplished strength athletes. Things such as vertical jump by oly lifters (Paul Anderson, etc.), the fastest MILE ever run by someone with a bodyweight >300lbs., you name it. Will perhaps change your opinion on what exactly constitutes an 'All-around athlete'.
