I was looking for a backpack that could carry my 15.6" laptop. Immediately I looked at Swissgear because my mom has one and she absolutely loves it. The laptop pocket is well padded on all sides and my laptop easily slides in and out. The main pocket is very large and the base stabilizing platform works well at both providing padding and keeping the backpack standing up. The shoulder straps and back padding are very comfortable and make it easy to carry the backpack when it has a laptop and large, heavy books in it - something that is very important for me as a college student walking across campus every day. Something that may be overlooked but that I appreciate greatly are the zippers: they are large and move easily, plus there are no flaps for them to get stuck in. Overall the color scheme - red, black, and gray - looks good. I would recommend this backpack to anyone looking for a backpack at a reasonable price that can carry a 15.6" laptop and have room for many other items. You can't go wrong with Swissgear!

Was looking for the backpack for travelling by airlines with my notebook computer, DSLR camera and some personal stuff without sending anything to the luggage.

This Lancer does his job very well. Its computer compartment is perfectly protected and big enough for my laptop and the charger. The camera was is its own protective pouch in the second (larger) compartment. Beside that a plenty of room was found in the backpack for my clothes and small personal items.

The large (back) pocket is well organized to keep tons of small things without any risk to lose them. Small top pocket is good for safe keeping of passport and ticket and/or iPod with earpieces.

Actually I expected that this backpack would be a little smaller but the 16-inch computer requires more space than other smaller models and the size is OK.

I ordered the Lancer laptop backpack on Amazon at an amazing price. Shipping was free and super fast. If you are looking for a backpack in which to carry your laptop this is one that will most likely serve the purpose and then some. Plenty of storage and small pockets to carry almost anything you can think of. The pocket for the laptop is large enough for a 15-16 inch widescreen laptop and is very well padded. The middle compartment even expands with a padded fold-down bottom panel. Overall the build quality of the backpack is top-notch. I'm using the backpack for leisure and travel. It is a candy-apple red which is the typical Swiss Army Knife color. Looks great! You will not go wrong in choosing it.
