Roomy and Functional
The case for the Sony 717 is both roomy and functional. The extra battery is essential, since I don't think that the factory battery lasts as long as advertised under day-to-day use. In addition, the lens filter is a must-have item for this camera. Overall, the bundled pricing makes this a good value.

Bag 2 stars -- all the rest 4 stars
If I was just using the case for the camera and the filters and extra battery it would be okay. But adding just a few photography basics stretches the case beyond it's limits. There is no room in the bag for the lens hood. Also I use a neoprene camera strap (a big step up in comfort from what came with the camera), with the strap, the camera barely fits in the case...

If I was just using the case for the camera and the filters and extra battery it would be okay. But adding just a few photography basics stretches the case beyond it's limits. There is no room in the bag for the lens hood. Also I use a neoprene camera strap (a big step up in comfort from what came with the camera), with the strap, the camera barely fits in the case. There is no room for the case for extra memory sticks. I can fit the shutter remote in the bag but there is no real room for the macro lens. The extra battery and two filters that come with this case are definitely essential items. I just wish the case was a little bit bigger. |
