Best option for Walkman charger, if you can find one,

This review is from: Sony ACNWUM50 Walkman USB Charger with Walkman USB Cable (Electronics)
I purchased this at a Sony outlet store about 2 months ago (because there was NOTHING available online) before a long trip where I wouldn't have access to charge my Walkman via USB. I first purchased the much bulkier cradle but soon realized it wouldn't be very convenient for travel and was a waste of $50.This charger, on the other hand, is a compact & handy 2"x2"x1" box that takes up almost no space & works very quickly to charge the Walkman. It is 100-240V and 50/60Hz, so it'll work worldwide if you have the appropriate plug adapter. The box divides into 2 parts, with a standard U.S. 2-prong polarized plug on one side that rotates out a full 180 degrees (so you can plug it into an outlet either at a right angle or sticking out flat, allowing you to rest the player on top or conserve space on your power strip). When using a plug adapter in South America or Europe, I was able to rest the player conveniently on top of the plug adapter between the charger & the wall - no need to leave it dangling. The other half holds a curled up 6" cord that plugs into the charger & player. It is not an actual USB cord, unfortunately, so although you can use it to charge the player via a USB port on a computer (if you bend the little plastic tab out of the way), it doesn't allow you to sync. If it did, I would give this thing 5 stars, but apparently Sony can't figure these things out... Based on price, portability & function, this is a FAR superior option than the cradle.

I suggest you save $25-$30 by buying a MusicPower Duet or Solo universal USB charger from Amazon. The Duet is great, I can charge two NWZ-series Walkmans at once.

It works just fine. Important to have if you want to charge the walkman without a computer. The only "short" fall is that the cable is very short, so when you plug it in the walman is either not supported or on the floor. Not significant. I also like the compactness of the charger, not taking up too much room in your suitcase, purse or briefcase.
