VC-C90AM Vertical Grip Accessory. Ideal for shooting with the Sony α DSLR in vertical position, this gives you a firm grip on your camera with shutter button at your fingertip and controls conveniently positioned for comfortable shooting. The VC-C90AM also combines rugged magnesium alloy front/back covers, gasket-sealed buttons to protect against dust and moisture, and built-in compartment for two NP-FM500H InfoLITHIUM batteries (sold separately) with Stamina power of up to 1,3001 shots. Readout shows in percentage about how much battery power remains and which battery is in use. In serious photography, this is a must for your Sony α.

The grip is of high quality and excellent design. Sony spent time thinking about the ergonomics of this grip. The best feature is that when attaching the grip you don't have to remove the battery door on the camera body. It just slips in a cutout inside the grip. Very convienent feature.

All my Sony Alpha camera bodies have vertical grips installed on them. I would never do without one. They assist importantly in the proper operation and use of the cameras to which they are attached. I like the build quality, overall design, professional appearance and the conveniences and ease of operation they provide. I would DEFINITELY recommend any Sony Alpha camera owner to equip his/her camera bodies with vertical grips.
