5.0 out of 5 stars Works great but seem to smudge rather easily
I have been using these now (bought 3) for a few weeks for recording movies, watching them, then erasing and start over with new movies. Working fine, but it seems like the disks are more suseptable to finger marks than others, I could be wrong here, but it seems that way to me. I have not had any problem, however, and am just making an observation.

1.0 out of 5 stars Won't work
Purchased one of these and after it didn't work, I returned it to Amazon, which promptly sent me a new one. It also did not work. I tried both on a brand new PC, latest Sony Vegas and Cyberlink's Power Director, Sony blu ray player and a Panasonic DVD player - nothing recognized it.

I have been using this disc for almost 9 months and I have only one complain: the price. Really expensive, but it is really reliable. No data loss, no problem at all.

I got two of these to back up my computer. Works just like any disc as long as you have the hardware for it. It takes a very very very long time to write files to these. which is no surprise but when your sitting there waiting all day for it, it makes you wonder if it's even worth it.

BD-RE, Impressed, came early. I would recomend using Blank Rewritable Blue Ray Disks, being a amature at creating my own DVD's, in case of Mistakes you can overwrite, Plus the fact that Blue Ray Disks are so Expensive.

5.0 out of 5 stars Blue Ray video is amazing!!, January 21, 2008

I just bought a Sony 1080i camcorder to video my nephew's wedding and used a new Sony Vaio computer with Blu ray read write capability.

I was able to make discs but nobody has Blu Ray players to watch it.

I'm glad it worked and know when BLu/Ray DV become standard it will be fun to see this event which otherwise couldn't be made into Hi Def standard.

I use the BD-RE to make a test burn for HD Home Video prior to committing to a final copy on BD-R. This has saved me from wasting a BD-R and then finding out later that I needed to re-edit and make some changes.
