I purchased this CD player for my elderly mother who has very low vision. She spends much of her day listening to books on CD. This CD player has simple features and large buttons, making it very easy for her to use successfully. She even uses the radio, a bonus that I hadn't expected!

This was purchased for my 7 1/2 year old son for Christmas. He wanted a radio for his room and he loves the color red, so I thought this would be a great purchase. I value the Sony name and the price was good for a child's gift. He loves it! It is small and perfect for his room, but the sound quality is not very good - but he is not bothered by it. I would recommend this for a young child but a better quality sound system would be nicer for an older child.

This little CD player is great for children. My kids haul it all over everywhere, and so far it is holding up against the abuse.

This is the perfect cd player for a 5 year old. The controls are very easy to figure out and the quality is great. The sound quality is very descent and can go quite loud. I have not used the radio yet. I bought this after a cheap chinese one broke after playing a cd 5 minutes out of the box. I am very satisfied.

I expected it to be smaller and when I opened the box I was very pleased with its size! The design is genius! I have it on my daughters dresser and it looks like its meant to be there. Very cute in apearance! Popped in some batteries and no cords to trip over. A cord is included. Then the sound quality is crystal clear and even the radio is like crystal clear! I personally highly reccommend this cd player for any age and you wont be disappointed. What a value for the price thats for sure!

It looks just like the photo. It's super easy to use--just plug it in or insert batteries and turn the knob to what you want--CD or radio, etc. I love it that I didn't even have to read the Manual that came with it. My 2 1/2 year old twins were taught in a few minutes how to insert their CDs and play the songs they love to hear. My husband enjoys having the radio on playing Christmas music all throughout the day (when the kids aren't listening to their CDs). The only downfall of this CD boombox is the antenna wasn't made as sturdy as I would have liked it--the top most stem (where the red ball is attached) pulled out/off within a few pulls up. Where the boombox is located in our house, it doesn't matter that we can't pull the antenna up any more. The sound reception/quality is still great even without the antenna up or extended.

Purchased this for my 16 months old son's room to play music. Sound quality was good. People who said the sound was disppointing have unrealistic expectation from a boombox this size and this price point. No digital tuning but doesn't bother me. Looks perfect for a child's room.

I got this to put in the bedroom to play some CD for our 1.5 year old daughter. Our "fancy" shelf system Sony 5-CD-changer(from the early 90s) stopped working, so we needed a basic, affordable CD player and this fits the bill perfectly.

It is easy to use, affordable. There is a 3mm input for you to plug in your MP3 player if you want also. The sound quality is not going to satisfy audiophiles but hey, it is more than sufficient for a toddler. It is also very cute and our daughter loves it. :)

Overall, the build quality of the unit seems very solid, it has all the functions(CD, radio, aux input) we need and it's affordable. Highly recommended.

I chose this because it is Sony and it has a unique design and fun color. It turns out to be quite a handy size for moving around the house. I bought it for my two year old to listen to her kids' cd's on. I don't allow her to operate it yet, though. I also use it to listen to my radio programs. I don't ever turn the station, but it picks up my one station well. The sound is fine, not great. No option to play CD's at random or repeat.

Bought this for our 7 year old daughter for her birthday. She LOVES it. Very easy to use. Love the red. Never dissatisfied with Sony. Would definitely recommend.
