I did a lot of research before settling on this one. Given the size of my apartment 32" was a little too small and 40" was a little too big. 37" was ideal and I settled on that.

With the screen size less than 50" 1080p and 720p does not differ much in picture quality. So I decided to save some money by going with the 720p.

Went to a few stores and checked out all the brands they had and decided to go with trusted and time tested Sony.
Buying from Amazon was a no-brainer. Not having to pay sales tax and free delivery sealed the deal. The TV arrived in two business days; amazingly fast for a free shipping service.

The sound quality and picture quality is amazing, especially on blu-rays and over the air digital channels. By the way I'm using an ancient regular rabbit ears antenna and still I get awesome pictures.

I have to agree with 2 of the other reviewers that out of the box the picture was near perfect with only minor tweaking and purchasing this set on Amazon was definitely a no-brainer. Why pay sales tax and shipping? I decided on this tv for the bedroom and installed it on the wall without any problems. Acturally it went a lot smoother than I had anticipated. After comparing Sony's picture quality to other models at local stores and using Consumer Reports recommendation, I settled on the Sony Bravia 37". I have had the tv for 2 months and could not be happier.

After months of research, I settled on this Bravia as my first HDTV. I'm a stickler for accurate, natural color reproduction, so I expected to have to do a lot of tweaking, as I do with CRT televisions. Out of the box, however, the color was basically perfect; I needed only to change some basic settings to my taste, such as neutral vs. vivid color. The unit itself is very well constructed. It's handsome, but doesn't draw attention to itself like the mod designs from Samsung. The white-glove delivery service was professional and flawless. They assembled the base, hooked up the cables, and made sure everything worked properly.

We bought this Sony HD TV based on the comments here. We are very happy with the set. Glad we bought it, picture is wonderful. The Amazon free delivery and no tax is a great deal. We were totally satisfied with the Amazon White Glove Delivery service. Ordered the set on Friday Nite was delivered and set up on Thursday 8:15 am! Wow that was way ahead of the estimated time delivery amazon gave.

The quality of TV is among the best. I recieved my order in a reasonable time.

We looked a few brands of TV, Vizio, Samsung, and Sony. We found that Sony has the best picture quality, that is, more realistic color and undistorted details. Samsung seems a bit too bright for me. And the size
turned out to be perfect for my 12'x12' living room (I originally thought about 42' and 40' TV). we are happy with it.

I have always bought Sony televisions, this is my third, but my first LCD, got this a couple of months back.The sound is also very good, which was very important as I did not want to have any home theater for this. I am very pleased with the TV, it's was an excellent choice.

For the price I paid I do not believe anyone can match this purchase. The sale price included shipping, delivery, unpacking and setup where I wanted it. Although it's not the Hi Def 1080p, I really don't notice the difference between 720 and 1080. Perhaps if I were to look really close, I might see some difference, but I am totally satisfied with the great picture this set provides. Also, I highly recommend using the HDMI cable with the TV. (This is not included, but can be purchased at a number of on-line sites at a very inexpensive price. Get two if you're going to use Blue Ray or a DVD player capable of HDMI.) I am not using a separate audio system, but the built-in speaker system is quite adequate. I'm really surprised at how easy it is to customize the desired settings for both picture and sound. To say I'm happy with my purchase is an understatement. Thank you Amazon.com!

Dealing with Amazon has always been a pleasure for me, and this purchase was no exception. I read the reviews, decided on this model, ordered it and it was delivered on schedule with absolutely no problems. The Sony TV is of the quality that I expected. I am very pleased.

I had looked for a long time for an HD LCD TV. I was very reluctant to buy, as I wanted an excellent TV for a great price. We looked at many tv's at all the typical stores and finally decided on Sony, as we have always had good lcuk with Sony. Then the big question, what size and what resolution. We took measurements and decided 37" was just right for our room. Then the resolution. Had to be 1080p right, wrong. You don't have to have the highest resolution all the time. The 1080 signals come in great in on the 720. Remember it is still an improvement over the CRT that you are upgrading from. Now where to buy the tv. Checked all around, watched Amazon for several weeks, noticed the price dropping and kept watching. Finally got to my price point and I bought. Next week the price went up by $150. Amazon delivered, arrived perfect and they set it up. It is AWESOME! I am extremely happy with my decision. I would do this over again. Now for the TV in the family room.....
