Like the Maxell UR, the Sony HF is a decent audio tape. You can probably get away with using this for cds if the music is not so intense. Though if you are looking for something to record something such as Exodus's "Tempo of the Damned" or King Diamond's "Conspiracy," you need to look elsewhere. (Maxell XL II or TDK SA.) Overall, it's a good general tape. A previous reviewer pointed out that generally speaking, car stereos are not designed for the highest output. So, you probably don't need the highest quality audio tapes if you are recording your cds to use in your car stereo.
