This stereo had everything I wanted, especially Ipod control and it was well priced. However, this is made in China and it shows. The first one was DOA and the return/exchange process took two weeks. The new one worked but now will not hold the memory when the car is turned off. I've tried running directly to the battery, all connections are soldered, etc. but it is apparently an internal fault and I'm being told by Sony 6-12 weeks to repair. I've always had excellent results with Sony products but since they have chosen to manufacturer their cheaper units in China, the lack of quality has really turned me off to the brand.

I bought this about 6 months ago and had it installed so my ipod cord ran into my glove box. I really just used it for my ipod and it worked great! You can control your ipod and everything through the actual cd player! The blue lights look really nice at light sometimes they are a little bright to my liking! I bought a new car and so it doesnt fit :( Its a wonderful product, even comes with a remote!

As soon as I received this stereo, it was easy to install myself, and looks beautiful with its blue lights. Also I noticed a great improvement of sound quality in comparison to my stock stereo. I also love that even though it doesn't mention this on the technical details that it works perfectly with not only my iPod but with my iPhone 3G!! It charges, I am able to search for songs on the car stereo itself and it fades the music down when I have an incoming call. So easy and nice to use!

This was a great buy. I have always struggled to have a good stereo and now I finally have one. This Sony CDX-GT430IP has wonderful sound and the iPod connection to it makes having an iPod in the car so much easier. You control the iPod through the stereo, and it charges the iPod too. It has all the nicest features including an off button, shuffle, album change, etc.
