Excellent Marine Receiver
Awesome receiver!!! Who needs CD's when you have an iPOD. Excellent features and easy to navigate. The adjustable crossover is a great feature if you're running sub woofers. The only thing I wish you could access if the genius feature of the iPOD. I plan on buying the wired remote eventually. A powerful radio too. Well, it works. It resists splashes, but its faceplate is giant. You would like you would get a high-res display or some benefit to having such a big faceplate but nope. I bought this because it was pretty, I should have been looking at features like bluetooth audio for example. Well, it works. It resists splashes, but its faceplate is giant. You would like you would get a high-res display or some benefit to having such a big faceplate but nope. I bought this because it was pretty, I should have been looking at features like bluetooth audio for example. It works as expected and sounds great, the over sized faceplate and price and the lack of bluetooth are the only cons. Also don't buy this unless you can mount it somewhere very easily accessible because the display is hard to read at odd angles.

The only thing I wish you could access if the genius feature of the iPOD. I plan on buying the wired remote eventually. A powerful radio too. I connected four (4) 6.5" speakers direct to the radio and ran a separate amp to two (2) 8" sub woofers and I can create my own wake without the engine running. I have this installed on a 20' pontoon boat.

So far this unit works great but if you plan on using a USB drive as the source then think again. The list of supported USB drives is very very short and all the non Sony dives are 1GB or smaller. I'm not sure why Sony can't support generic USB devices but whatever the case it's lame. Get with it Sony!

Well I ordered a great receiver and they sent me another inferior one - not the same model, not the right receiver. Worst part was that it was installed in a boat. So, now they want to just give me 100 back! like it doesn't matter that I didn't order a 1980's technology over the year 2011! Will never order from these ding a lings again.
