I love to go camping and one of the biggest must haves is having music playing in the background. I love my jazz and rock and when I purchased the Sony Xplod CD Radio Cassette Recorder I was expecting something GREAT! and after taking it to a few locations, it has exceeded my expectations. The clarity of the music is awesome. The look is really cool and when it comes to overall quality, the BEST! I'm really happy with this purchase.

I've had this boom box for several months. It's awesome. I have it in my garage on a high shelf. I keep it plugged in - so I cannot comment on battery usage.

It blasts music from the radio or CD very clear. Radio signals come in clear. Just make sure you have the antenna fully extended. I haven't tried the cassette player yet or AM radio. The remote works well - it's small and simple. The large carry handle is convenient and makes the system very portable.

The instructions are on a large fold out sheet. It's easy reading and only needed to learn how to program favorite radio channels; plus to find out what the little, hard to see icons mean on the display.

I only wish the LCD display pane was much larger and backlit. The boom box is ugly, but a great, solidly built system.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sound and the range of the radio reception. The remote is an extra bonus.
