The batteries were made in Indonesia, not Japan as the listing title said previously. But that does not concern me much but the listing should be corrected so I downgraded it to 4 stars. I opened one pack and the open circuit voltage is the proper 3.25V. The expiration date is 2021. I have installed these batteries in 15 computers with no issues.

I reported the listing error to Amazon and now it does not state any country of origin.

I don't know where to go to for good fresh CR2032's anymore. This is my third try and brand battery purchase on Amazon in the last 2 weeks, and while all show a voltage of 3+ open test, they are ALL dead and useless under load. That is why you are reading that they are not lasting long at all and they will not.

I ordered the Sony CR2032 Lithium 3V Batteries (2 x Pack of 5) and received them promptly from Photoland NY for $5.99. They were exactly as advertised: a total of 10 Sony CR2032 Lithium batteries in 2 blister packs of 5 each. The use by date was blank as other reviewers have noted and there was no copyright date on the packaging. The batteries had 16 stamped on the back, but not sure if this is a date code of some type or not. I tested 4 of the cells under a small load, 2 from each pack and they ranged from 3.28 to 3.27 Volts, so it seems they are within specs, about 2% discharge versus a brand new 3.35 Volt battery. However, the batteries I was replacing them with were only down to 2.8 Volts but no longer powered my tire pressure gauge. So given that the lowest usable voltage in my application is 2.8 Volts, approximately 15% of the batteries' life was already used. For comparison locally purchased CR2032 batteries would be significantly more expensive, at least 4x the cost. Overall they are a good deal for the price, but not the freshest batteries.

I'm not dedicated enough to do any sort of life testing on these, but I do want to confirm that THIS product from THIS seller arrived in July 2012 as new packs but with no expiration date.

The price is so low even if they have a shorter life I can deal with it. But it seems odd to me that almost every seller with these things has reports of expired, no expiration date, or suspect life.

Therefore if you have a critical application that is a pain to replace the battery in, you are probably best off sucking it up and paying more for retail packs.

I purchased the Sony CR2032 batteries for my kitchen scale based on a very informative customer review which compared Sony to Maxell batteries. "Not Me"s review can be found here Maxell CR2032 lithium ion batteries (pack of 5 )

The Sony batteries I purchased have an expiration date of 2021 & were manufactured in Indonesia.

I will update my review with any new findings.

These are not genuine Sony. No expiration on each pack, no raised bubble over cr2032, etc...it is the counterfeit as pictured in the side by side genuine/fake comparison shown in the listing photos. If I had wanted batteries from a manufacturer that I'd never heard of I could have bought them cheaper than I paid for these fakes. At least in the case of buying from a manufacturer I hadn't heard of yet I would gain knowledge of the quality produced by that particular manufacturer. With these fakes I'll never know who actually made them, or even whether or not I'll get the same manufacturer again if I order them again.

I'll go ahead and try to use them because it's not worth returning such a low priced item. I just hope that they never leak.

We purchased these batteries from MyBatterySupplier on Amazon Marketplace. The first two batteries I opened measured 3.29 v right out of the package, which is basically a fully charged battery. Expiration date is 2021, these are definitely new batteries. I'll make sure I use this seller again when my kitchen scale goes through these.

Fast shipping is great. Have checked and used one of these and on my voltmeter it was putting out 3.00 volts. This is supposed to be a 3-volt battery, so doesn't seem bad. However, it is typical for new batteries to show more than the rated voltage when new and they decline as used. I checked a different brand 2032 battery and it registered 3.28 volts on the same meter, and that is what I would expect a new battery to show. I thought these might be old stock, but they have a far off expiration date, so that should not be the problem. You might want to check yours against some other batteries to see how they compare.
