I love this little dock for the camera. I have the Cybershot Station sitting next to my computer monitor. Before I just used the USB cable that came with the camera and the camera would just be sliding around on my desk getting all scratch up. I have a 3 year old that likes to pull on cables so the camera would lose connection if the USB cable moves. Now I just slip the camera in the docking station and I'm good to go with no worrying about the USB cable or the camera moving around. OH and it recharges my batteries too!

This is not a must have item but it sure makes it easier when connected to a PC as you just need to drop the camera in to charge the rechargeable batteries and download the pics.

This is a great solution for quick, on-the-go charging and data retrieval from the Sony Cybershot series cameras. Unloading and transferring a full storage card takes mere seconds and the storage on one's hard drive is smoothly compatable with Adobe image processing software. Charging is fast, the green LED indicators show degree of charge from nil to full. I use double sided adhesive to keep the unit in place on a cart since the wires are heavy duty. This is an attractive and very well designed accessory for the Sony Cameras.

Sony doesn't tell you in advance but apparently this charger base will only charge the supplied NP-NH25 NiMH rechargeable battery. I tried using several NiMH non Sony batteries but no deal. The manual does say you need to use Sony's battery which being a specialty battery is both expensive and not readily available. I find this not only absurd but offensive since Sony is basically screwing around since any bargain basement AA battery charger will charge a variety of brands and maH ratings. This is NOT a bargain basement charger!

This thing is a miracle! I love it and use it everyday. Well worth the money:)
