Sony's PSYC D-EJ100PS Walkman portable CD player augments its great sound and extensive features with a stylish, full-circle, gleam-black exterior. And at a mere .94 inches thick, this Walkman lives up to its name, traveling with ease in pocket, purse, or backpack. Playback options include 32-track programming, repeat (track, disc, or program), random play, and an amazing 50 hours of playback from a pair of standard AA batteries (not included). A PSYC-styled clip-on remote makes it easy to operate the player while you're on the go, and Sony's "h.ear" clip-on headphones are designed for streamlined comfort.

"Active use" is a key phrase for this player: Sony's Skip-Free G-Protection boosts the laser pickup's shock protection to minimize read errors that would otherwise interrupt your music, providing quick recovery from both horizontal and vertical shocks. The D-EJ100PS's heat-resistant lid helps protect the player against high-temperature build up, especially when you're using it outdoors or in a vehicle.

You can hook the player up with your home system through an analog stereo "Y" interconnect. Should your music require it, the Walkman's Digital Mega Bass Sound engages digital processing to enhance your music with deep, authentic bass tones.

Bookmark playback lets you program your favorite songs from multiple CDs and play them back at the touch of a button, and Sony's automatic volume limiter system (AVLS) conserves batteries--and guards your hearing--by capping your listening level at either of two settings. Good buy. I hate spending ridiculous amounts of money on portable CD players with the radio, car attachment, etc. Do we really need those? Guess some people do. I didn't so didn't want to pay for stuff I don't use. Anyhow...

This is a reasonable price for a great little piece of machine. Sony has always been a brand to trust for these gadgets and they live up to the name here.

I agree the volume buttons are too small but the other buttons are placed quite nicely to reduce accidently bumping them. Other cool features:

- when you hit stop, it will return to where you left off when you hit play again.

- extra bass settings to give you a bit more.

- decent headphones that look like headsets for cell phones which comes in handy when, well, you need to look like you're using a headset.

- nice, compact size.

- not advocating loudness, but has a higher range than previous models, without sacrificing quality of sound.

-and battery life! I have been using the same AA batteries for over eight hours. Don't know if it's the batteries (and they aren't Duracell or Energizer) but they have been going for hours on end. Most other CD players I've had burn through them in no time. This one doesn't.

- and if you are looking for one more good reason, there is a 'hold' button on the bottom that disables all of the buttons so you won't accidently turn it off or fast forward or something.

If you're looking for a good CD player for a decent price, this one fits the bill.

Whoa, I bought this CD player as a gift for myself, and when i tried it, it was the BomB!

The CD player-Very slim, lightweight design, visible LCD display, cool design.

EarPhones- Well, i dont think the earphones are that amazing, because they always tangle up-it takes a nice long One Min to untie it ( a minor setback )

Remote-The remote buttons are kind of small but there ok, it has the Skip,Back,Stop,Pause and Vol. Level.

Long lasting BATTERYS- Was I amaized, the other CD players i bought only had 8hr of playing, this one has 50hr+ of playing, that saved me $$money$$.

Durability/Skip System- I had dropped this player 2 times, and nothing went wrong!!! The anti-skip/G-Protection does'nt have to be USED! No matter if you drop it, bump it, throw it, this thing does'nt skip AT ALL!

I have had this walkman for only two weeks and I am definately not returning it. I love music and I wanted a great walkman and I found it. This model is a good buy because the remote is handy and no matter how much the walkman shakes and bumps I still get a crystal clear sound. There is only one con to the sony psyc walkman, the volume buttons on the main thing are too small. The remote volume buttons are bigger than the the ones on the walkman. I strongly recommend this walkman!!!!!
