First there's all the wires you have to figure out how to string about the vehicle. Then the transmission to the radio is very weak -- I really expected much better reception considering the short distance involved. I was able to find two or three frequencies where it would work, but it seemed like the resulting audio was poor quality.

The bottom line is that this transmitter does not clearly transmit over FM. I've tried numerous settings, frequencies etc and have not been able to get a clear signal. The best that I have gotten is low level background hissing with the music. It does not maintain that very long either. As you drive the signal fades and improves but never gets what I would call a good signal and clear reception. My recommendation is do not but this device.

I bought this to hook up my Sony MP3 to my car. It does not work well. I can't get rid of the static and other background noise. It sucks!!! Sony should be ashamed of this piece of junk!
