The Sony HDR-XR520V Camcorder is really neat camera and does need and a charging adapter for more flexible applications of use. Amazon had the better price for the product than did Sony, so I buy such items from Amazon. Smart business.

I have to be honest, I bought the adapter about a year ago and have never used it. However, I do have peace of mind knowing that I can recharge my camcorder (Sony DVD405) wherever I am.

I use my camcroder to take photos of properties I list, record my little nephew's football games and various family get togethers. If I ever find myself running from A to B with no time to sit at home waiting to charge my camcorder, I can always plug it into my truck and have it charge during the commute.

It's not only a car adapter, it's also an airplane adapter.

This DC adapter worked great. I use a Sony DV Camcorder in my race car and needed a DC adapter.
