This is a beautiful frame and works great with a few quirks.

If I could rate the Sony Help desk, I would give them 1 star. When I first received the frame, I tried to transfer over 1,000 scanned photos saved as jpeg from Photoshop CS2 version. Nothing would show up. I called the Sony help desk and received the helpful hint that "It might not work," with no further explanations as to why. HMMMM Thanks!

After experimenting, I downloaded the latest version of Photoshop CS4 and resaved all my photos using the Save for Web or Device, and then they all worked fine. I don't know about other photo software, but if you run into problems it may be as simple as what version you are using. Why Sony wouldn't say this is beyond me. Their help desk certainly should know what works and what doesn't and be able to offer advice beyond "It might not work."

Other than that, it is a great frame.

Look no further. This frame is by far the best one out there. Initially I had a problem with some of my Photoshop'd pics but I read you just have to resave them and uncheck the progressive box. After that they all worked beautifully.

Always a Sony fan. Best resolution and one of the best looking frames on the market. HOWEVER, tranfering from PC to frame requires you to have a "miniB-Type USB cable". Advertised 500 photo capacity is based on 1.5 megapixel photo, great if all you do is take photos on your phone. Transfers from my folder which contained photos from 6.5MB down to 65.1KB totaled 75 photos before the aprox. 220MB frame memory was full. Also appears that transfers from my Sony Cybershot requires you to pull the memory card and no slot for cable transfer ?

This digital picture frame is really worth the money. The quality of the pictures displayed is terrific. It's easy to set up. There are lots of easy to use options. I bought a large frame so my mom, who is older, could see the pictures easily. It definitely does not disappoint. I would highly recommend it. It's worth the money.

This is a fantastic frame for a good many reasons. The picture quality is unmatched in any similar device I've seen. The screen size is generous, the controls are easy, and the operation is very straightforward. The slide show also allows delays as long as 24 hours. The stand is a little funny but ultimately stable, and it might have been nice to be able to change out the frame color to match the room. The price is a little high but I have no regrets paying it.

Gave this to my daughter for Christmas and she really loves it. The picture quality is excellent. So clear and bright.

I was very disappointed with this purchase.

First, the screen has a glass that reflects light, so if you put it in a well lit place chances are you will not be able to see your pictures, or will be very annoyed trying to avoid reflection.

Second, it does not have a USB input, so forget about using your 16 mb pen drive. If you are like me with over 5000 pics, you will be forced to buy another Sony memory stick (if you prefer not to run the risk of grabbing your camera and oops, no memory card because you forgot it in the frame...)

I purchased this frame from Circuit City (they're going out to business) a week ago for $163 + tax. What a bargain! I am very pleased with the resolution, quality & craftmanship of this product. The only downside to this frame is there is NO SPEAKER! You cannot play music & videos like the other frames. One would expect Sony to include these features. This frame is awsome, but due to the lack of mp3 & avi playback features I only gave it 4 stars. If you only intend to use this for photos this should be your first choice. Please don't hesitate to purchase this product.

Great picture quality - the best I've seen on a digiframe, but the price is a little high. Still if you want the best quality - go with this frame.

The frame overall is good. I don't even need many features it has. Yet some features it has need improvement.

CONS:

Randomization. I don't know how a company with such a big name can create such a poor algorithm for showing random photos. Repetitive display of its "favorite" images makes it sometimes annoying.

IR sensor. Works fine, but you need to aim at it otherwise you can miss.

If you saved your images using some software that adapts them for internet (so-called progressive scan) then the frame will not recognize them. The same will happen with some images downloaded from internet.

PROS: Overall it works, looks nice even might be a bit overpriced.
