This review is from: Sony DRBT101iK Blutooth Headset (Electronics)

Battery life is decent, the sound is a bit low on bass, it's range is excellent
Wearing comfort is lacking, they always seem as though they want to slide off my head.
Overall a decent product

2.0 out of 5 stars not for traveling, September 4, 2010
This review is from: Sony DRBT101iK Blutooth Headset (Electronics)
This is the first bluetooth headphone I have purchased. I travel a lot and find the best way to pass the time on a flight or waiting at an airport is to listen to music. "I test-drove" these headphones on a recent business trip where there I had a lot of stops, flight changes etc.

My first impression was that these were not very comfortable. The speakers are large and not contoured so they always seem to sit askew on my ears. More importantly, they literally fell off my head. This happened over and over again. A fair portion of my time flying was spent on my hands and knees, scratching around on the floor of the plane, trying to retrieve them. Furthermore they do not fold up so when stored in my bag, they take up a lot of room. I know that if I keep using them they will eventually break when my bag gets bumped or dropped.

Enough of the cons - they do sound ok - approximately as well as a $30-40 set of non usb headphones. Having a built in microphone is also great for skype or using with a cell phone. However, because of their size, you will not use them with your cell unless you are at home. battery life was very good - at least 10 hours so that's a plus.

In conclusion, great for Skype but because of their bulky size and poor fit, they are not much good for anything else.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Bluetooth Headphones set With Apple Dongle, November 24, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Sony DRBT101iK Blutooth Headset (Electronics)
I bought the one that came with the Dongle having found out that the Dongle itself had a price of 47+ dollars and the price for the headset without the Dongle was $50;with the Dongle was ~$61 so for $11 I figured It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. As it turns out, that was a good call. For My Ipod touch 3G that has Bluetooth and My wife's Ipad that also has Bluetooth the Dongle wasn't needed,The headset connected to both of them with no problem. I popped the dongle on my Ipod Nano and it connected no problem. The same was true with my wife Ipod touch 1G the dongle did the trick here too. Sound is actually pretty good considering we're talking a set of headphones. I agree the bass is a bit low but considering it's connectivity to all the Apple products I had at hand to play with, it scores 100%. If you want something to connect to an Apple product, from what I've seen in our house, this one is the way to go and remember the dongle does come in handy for those older products without Blue tooth.
