I bought this headset to use for AIM and MSN audio conversations in addition to MMORPGs and the like. The audio quality is sufficient enough with some expected white nosie that would only bother someone for recording purposes.

My only complaint is that after an hour or so they would start to hurt the back of my ears but it was nothing that would discourage me from using them.
