Very disappointed, I got the package today and discovered that it's not a NEW camera (as stated on Amazon site). NO SONY seal on the box, had finger prints, etc. and was not able to replace it with a brand NEW. Be Careful!!!

I am not rating the camera (which is excellent) but the kit.

I feel that Focus Camera sells discounted refurbished cameras. My camera was defective (flash not working) so I returned it. Also, I hate (excuse the strong word) cheap junk and this kit is full of cheap junk, except the extra battery and SDHC card.

I got this camera on Saturday, so I haven't had time to play with it that much. So far it seems very good. My one disappointment is the wifi transferred photos are lower quality (1616 x 1080) and you can't change it. However, this is good enough for social media sharing.

In terms of this bundle, the memory card and case are genuine Sony products. The HDMI cable, battery, and tripod are third party. Basically, this is a great deal, as the Sony 64 gig memory card would cost you something like $37 on its own. Some of the accessories are not that useful, but given this camera is selling for MSRP everywhere (including Amazon), this is a good deal.

This camera had so much hype as "the best point and shoot ever." So being that I'm a camera nerd - I had to try it. Well I have been a little disappointed. I guess for $700 I was hoping for SUPER AWESOME pictures - and all I have gotten are pictures that are just fine. I walked around all day taking the same pictures with this camera, a cheaper canon point and shoot, and the canon SL1. The SL1 had the best pictures by far! And that camera was only $500. I'm not giving up on this guy - I'm going to play with it through the Summer. BUT here is my tip - If your just a normal person taking pictures of your kids, friends and family - I would not spend $700 on this camera. You can get just as good of pictures with a cheaper camera.
Plus this was Prime - and it was super late - took about 2 weeks to get this.
Update, May 26: I just took this camera on my Disney trip so I would not have to lug a DSLR around the parks and I was SO DISAPOINTED !!!! I almost stopped to buy a new camera while I was there. Luckily I had Disney's Photopass - so no worries. This camera is going on Ebay today - I would not spend $700 on this camera!!!!!!!!!

I'm a semi-pro, using the a99, looking for something pocketable that wouldn't take pictures that looked like they came from a cell phone. Here are my impressions after using the RX100II on a weeklong trip to the Alaskan tundra:

Pros:
1. Image quality is the best I've seen on a compact, probably as good or better than my old Sony a55 DLSR.
2. Auto focus is fast and accurate, as long as you're not shooting through a dirty window.
3. The built-in flash is surprisingly powerful.
4. Front control ring multi-function is intuitive and easy.
5. Menus and control layouts are familiar to existing Sony DSLR users.
6. Lens zoom range is very useful, and f/1.8 at the widest end is helpful in low light.
7. Decent low light performance, which includes image stabilization.
8. Small size opens new possibilities for portability, and less intimidating when shooting candids.
9. Pretty good battery life.
10. Solid build and hand feel.
11. Can be charged with any micro-USB cell phone charger

Cons:
1. Manually adjusting shutter speed using the back control ring is a hassle. One false push and you've turned on your flash instead of changing your shutter speed, since the ring serves multiple purposes.
2. Manual focus is difficult, since it's electronic without the feedback you'd get from a regular lens. Focus peaking helps, but the focus magnifier just makes things worse.
3. Auto focus differentiates poorly when shooting through dirty glass, and there's no way to select a focus point, as with a DSLR.
4. Auto WB is not as accurate as I would like, tending to be warmer than necessary.
5. When shooting in auto mode, the camera defaults to higher ISO instead of larger aperture in lower light situations.

I am amazed by how small this camera is, its multiple features, and what great photos it takes in dark places. The package is the way to go and Focus shipped it out quickly. I own a Nikon D300 and it takes some effort to lug it around. I wanted a small camera for travel that approaches DSLR quality and this camera appears to fit that function. Its quality is well above a point and shoot. It has many useful intelligent scenes and does a great job selecting them automatically, or you can shoot manually. Wifi is easy to set up with an iPad and the ability to tilt the LCD is a great feature. I have only two negative comments. First, the users manual is not complete (many "add details") and you don't get a printed copy or even a CD. Second, Focus advertised a battery charger in the package. Instead, I received a disk reader. The second issue wasn't a big problem because I was going to order a Sony battery charger anyway.

Just received this "little" Sony RX100M2 camera. Have taken a few shots and these are my initial comments:
1) This Camera is small. Good and bad in some ways. Great to put in your pocket and go. Small enough to be carried everywhere. I even put it my pocket when I go bike riding. This size camera also brings an other consideration. . . how big are your hands? Mine are average for a male. However, I am having to get use to holding the camera correctly for its size. When holding the camera with my right hand to shoot, it is difficult to not press the "info" button accidentally at the bottom right hand corner. Just press it again to turn off. Also difficult to not press the flash side of the control wheel accidentally. Both just inconvenient, just hard to get use to. Sony has designed a rubbery grip at the top next to the "Record" button but I tend to want to hold it at the bottom corner.
2) Highly recommend getting the Sony AG-R1 grip or equivalent. You will definitely need additional grip assistance on the front side of this camera. It literally is so small and compact that anyone's hands have to adjust to this little gem of a camera.
3) Great pics so far and I'm not not even accustom to all the settings. A little bit difficult to control highlight areas so far but will be fun to get to learn more of this camera's traits. I take pics for a living and this camera is just plain fun to use. The flash is quite versatile in that you can adjust the tilt direction of the flash but will have to hold and tilt the flash head yourself, there is not preset adjustment built into the flash. My only real complaint so far is the refresh rate, a little slow but certainly acceptable, just not great in that aspect.
4) Auto-focus in Macro setting is not perfect.
