This camera has nice features for its size, very compact and offers good resolution and options. The startup time for power up is very fast. Unfortunately the camera I received new in the box does not focus properly, so all of the pictures I take are blurry. I followed Sony's directions for repair, sent it in and a week and a half later received the camera back with the exact same problem thanks to Precision Camera Repair. I called Sony again for the same problem and had to fight with them to have them pay for shipping of the defective item. I may have to wait up to 10 days to receive a UPS shipping label from Sony. It's been a month since I originally purchased the item and await a shipping label to send it back for repair the 2nd time.
My mistake was purchasing a discontinued product from a company that does not have a supported return policy for defective products and dealing with a manufacturer that doesn't support their products directly, but through authorized service centers. Be certain to order any Sony products from a company that will accept a defective return, because you really don't want to deal with Sony unless you don't mind waiting several months to use the products you purchase. |
