Sony's D-SJ15 Sports CD Walkman is made for the active listener, featuring a water-resistant case with rubber gaskets and waterproof seals to keep out moisture and dirt. This model features Sony's G-Protection feature, which the company claims provides 10 times faster shock recovery than other players. Sony doesn't rate the skip-protection of its players in seconds. This player comes with a hand strap and compact in-the-ear headband headphones. CD features include 64-track programming, nine playback modes (variations on repeat and shuffle) and track loop repeat. Sony says this machine will milk up to 40 hours of continuous playback time from two AA batteries. When activated, Sony's automatic volume limiter system (AVLS) limits the volume so that a sudden loud track doesn't blow out your eardrums.

This function provides a higher level of shock protection than the traditional one. Also included you'll receive a pair of MDR-W014 Headphones which complement the player rather nicely. This D-SJ15 operates on two AA batteries (not included). You'll also get an AC power adapter which allows you to charge NH-WM2AA batteries right inside the player.

Extremely durable, won't skip, long battery life, not the best sound. Buy it cheap, and use it for the beach. I've had mine submerged in water many times. I like the way the headphones fit. Great for active lifestyles.
