Sounds great, looks good and works excellent!

It is also a simple, clean interface that is pretty user friendly and easy to figure out, just by fiddling with the buttons for a few minutes.

Sometimes the buttoms and the volume don't respond and I have to disconnect and reconnect the faceplate.

So far I have been very happy with this unit. I am not much of an audiophile so I won't review the sound quality other than to say that it meets my needs. It plays my music in my car and I'm satisfied with the sound.

I find the ipod controls to be logical and easy. You get basic control of the ipod, being able to scroll through artists, songs, albums, playlists, podcasts and genres using the volume knob the same way you would the click wheel. I haven't had any difficulty with it. There are other units that have better interaction with the ipod but they cost twice as much. Besides - I would hope most people wouldn't be dinking around that much with their stereo while they are driving. The charging feature is excellent - since I purchased this stereo I have never had my ipod die on me.

One slightly annoying thing regarding the browsing controls - when you are using the ipod directly you can back up to the screen for the album, then back to the artist and so forth, basically the reverse of the route you took to get to whatever you are listening to. This is helpful is you just want to see the track listing or switch to another album by the same artist - whatever. With the stereo, you always start from scratch at the home screen so at times it can be a touch tedious.

So far I have been happy with radio reception - mostly listening to AM.

A few more small complaints - sometimes the stereo will turn on automatically when I plug in the ipod and just start playing. Not a big deal though - I just try and make a point of making sure the volume is turned down low when I turn it off. I wish it had come with a carrying case for the faceplate - but these can be obtained for ten dollars or less.

Don't know if anyone else has this problem, but my iPod gets really hot when its inside the tray and has turned itself off a couple times.

I purchased this stereo for a little used car I bought for the snow, that still had a tape player. Along with a wiring harness, I got this stereo installed quickly and easily. This thing isn't only for Ipods or MP3 players, it plays anything USB, including flash drives. It is also a simple, clean interface that is pretty user friendly and easy to figure out, just by fiddling with the buttons for a few minutes. If you do use your ipod, however, it fully interfaces with your music player AND apps. It plays Pandora from the face plate including displaying the channel you're on along with the artist/song info. This was certainly a bargain at this price. I would suggest this for anyone who would like a very modern upgrade for their older car at a very good price. I guess I would even suggest it for someone looking to put an upgraded system in their car because it DOES have RCA cables on the back as well.

I received this on a Thursday and installed it with no problems on Saturday. I have been enjoying my new stereo all weekend. I decided to just keep a USB stick in there and not muck around with my iPhone since it does cause some interference with the radio that is annoying. One thing that I didn't realize is that this does not have a CD player. This is fine for me but might be a surprise if you click through too quickly, like I did :)

I don't know how I put up with not having a radio that has a USB port for MP3s, and even stores the flash drive or player in the radio so it's not sticking out in the way. Now I don't have all those CD to shuffle around, and on a motorcycle that is a BIG improvement. Now I want one for my truck now.

I've owned this stereo for almost a month now, and it's worked out great for me! I have a small car, and therefore not a lot of room to put an iPod or auxiliary cable. Plus, I found that I was fiddling with my iPod a lot while I was driving - definitely NOT a safe thing to do when you drive almost 80 miles (mostly highway) a day! Anyway, this nifty radio fixed those problems and I really don't have any complaints! Other than the fact that the blue lighting around the controls is a little bright at night...but I usually just flip the faceplate down in those situations. As someone mentioned, my iPod nano (5th generation) does get hot when it's in there for awhile, but I've never had any problems with it shutting off. A lot of people have also been complaining about the faceplate supposedly being hard to put back on. It really isn't hard, people. Just make sure you put the right side in first, pay attention to what you're doing, and it should go in just fine.

Anyway, I'm very pleased with it, and it really is easy to operate. I would have given it 5-stars, but I think Sony should have provided a way to dim the control lights a bit. But that's a minor gripe. I would definitely recommend this product!
