Good and bad
on August 21, 2014
I liked the idea of a kit, where everything fits together. As everybody can see from other reviews, the camera itself is really a cool gadget, both zoom lenses are what they are, not the ultimate best, but very well developed (I use an old minolta 50mm with adapter and manual controls for portraits). But concerning this kit, the wide-angle and tele-addon lenses are not good quality at all. The tele gives some colored shadows, the wide is to small, so when you open the zoom lens to 16X, you see the corners - but isn't that what a wide-angle is for? So I use my old tele addon which I bought used some years ago and my old (bigger) wide-addon. The flash/video-light is okay for in-room distances. The remote works well but is less convenient than the Sony original, which gives you also a 2 sec button. The tripod works, but is pretty much on the cheap side. At least it is very lightweight. The bag is a little bit on the bulky side - I use a very old one from 1980 now, which is more compact. Over all, the kit has its ups and downs, at least the camera is really amazing especially if you think how compact it is!
