I liked the idea of a kit, where everything fits together. As everybody can see from other reviews, the camera itself is really a cool gadget, both zoom lenses are what they are, not the ultimate best, but very well developed (I use an old minolta 50mm with adapter and manual controls for portraits). But concerning this kit, the wide-angle and tele-addon lenses are not good quality at all. The tele gives some colored shadows, the wide is to small, so when you open the zoom lens to 16X, you see the corners - but isn't that what a wide-angle is for? So I use my old tele addon which I bought used some years ago and my old (bigger) wide-addon. The flash/video-light is okay for in-room distances. The remote works well but is less convenient than the Sony original, which gives you also a 2 sec button. The tripod works, but is pretty much on the cheap side. At least it is very lightweight. The bag is a little bit on the bulky side - I use a very old one from 1980 now, which is more compact. Over all, the kit has its ups and downs, at least the camera is really amazing especially if you think how compact it is!

Just want to echo what some of the other reviewers have stated.
The camera + lenses are great. The other stuff is... so-so.

Terrible:
The flash stopped working (after only using it once to make sure it wasn't DOA).
The tripod is a toy. I think I'll give it to my daughters to play with their American Girl dolls. (It's their size)
The various filters/adapters were not good. Image quality with them was... nothing to write home about.

The worst part is I think I may have gotten a less-than-new camera. It looked pristine, but there are some stickers that were missing. I saw an "unboxing" video on youtube which had some protective stickers that didn't exist on my camera when I got it.

Good:
The charger... works.
The bag is a bit on the smaller side, but it's well made. Having it so small keeps me from overfilling it with stuff that I'll probably never use. I can fit the camera, the 2 kit lenses, a 60mm prime lens, charger + spare battery, and some misc cables just fine.
I sprayed some waterproof stuff on the bag, and don't worry about rain, short of a full on thunderstorm.

Very happy with the camera and the additional equipment included in the bundle.. Everything you need is included! Great customer service and fast shipping. The only item in the bundle that didn't meet expectations was the camera bag... Good quality ... But too small... Not a deal breaker by any means!

I am thrilled with my new camera. I had a Sony before, so the familiarity is a bonus. And the package go-withs are nearly perfect. What it did have & shouldn't: the too-small-to-be-useful camera bag. What I wish it had instead: Polarized lens filters to go with the UV filters it does have.

WHAT A DEAL!!! I know when buying a value kit that not everything is going to be the best. That's why it is significantly more expensive to buy the items separately. In this case, the camera is amazing (and I have other much more expensive cameras that I like less because of how good and simple this one is) taking great pictures. The zoom lens was the driving focus of me picking up the value bundle and when you add the (cheap) flash which I only use in some close-up circumstances and it does fine, the memory and extra battery, I got what I wanted and needed. The filters are okay and the tripod is just a junker to carry around if I want to do desk selfies. All in all, I spent a lot of time comparing bundles and this was my favorite value for the money.

Not what I expected but I'll keep it in spite of the comments below:
The bag is not suitable to carry all essential equipment.
No camera case or lens case, you need to purchase them separately.
When you spend this kind of money you would expect those little things.
Receiving the camera wrapped in a piece of plastic was the most disappointing experience.

The quality of the bundle is very disparate. Sony items are very superior to others. Very good SD card, but not among the fastest. Correct 'Vivitar' remote shutter release.A good bag, somewhat big. 'Precision' items are medium quality and the 2.5x converter doesn't work well with the Sony 55-200mm lens. A rickety tripod. The 'Bower' flashlight, the worst. The lamp burned out at the very first moment.

This is a solid camera and comes with just about every accessory you can think of to get you started. Everything in the kit arrived promptly, and appeared to be new (as specified).

I like the camera a lot. Would buy it again. However, one of the lenses broke after 4th time of use. Now I had to return it to the manufacturer. The process was easy but it was a process. Don't like to buy stuff and then have to go through this already. But it is an awesome camera. Would buy it again.

The camera and the sony lenses are excellent. But the PD 2.5x Tele & .45x Wide Lens I didn't like.
The case is not pratical to be used.
