I bought two MP9 digital pocket video recorder pens, one for myself, and one for my wife as a Christmas present. This gadget isn't by Sony, don't know why the heading says that. It's by Evolution Worldwide limited.

A week after my wife started using hers, it stopped working. I called the vendor's phone number two weeks ago to complain and try to get a resolution of this problem.

The lady told me that "the tech department" would get back in touch with me. They haven't.

Today, (January 27, 2010), I spoke to "Kevin" at the customer service number given by [...], 877-918-9188 (that's how we paid the firm, listed by [...] as "Evolution World Wide Limited").

I told him that I had spoken to someone at that same phone number 2 weeks ago, who told me that "tech support" would contact me at my home phone number, but no one responded.

He told me to Email "[...]," would not identify himself beyond "Kevin."

A little later, we were told to Email a couple of folks at Evolution Worldwide's home office in Hong Kong, which we did. The people I Emailed gave me an address to send our non-working unit to, and we returned it in late January.

UPDATE: The replacement camera just arrived at my doorstep. I jacked it into my laptop's USB port and TA-DA! it works! Complete with test videos and music loaded in the camera memory... I'm happy.

So Evolution Worldwide Limited came through on customer service. I'm glad to be able to report that they're as good as their word.
