5.0 out of 5 stars YOU DON'T EVEN KNON YOU WEARING IT
This headset is so lite and easy to use You forget your wearing it.
And there is a cord for Your neck for when You do not want to wear
it in Your ear. I hate holding a phone and looking up infomation
or taking notes. Now it's a joy,no problem at all, try it, you'll
wonder how You got along without it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Sony Ericsson Akono Bluetooth Headset HBH-608 for all Bluetooth phones- DPY901482/2
A fairly good headset. However, does not have much range and if you happen to lose the earhook, you will have to buy another headset. I lost my earhook and wrote Sony Ericsson to see if I could purchase just a replacement earhook, but to no avail. I ended up purchasing another headset, because I was satisfied with the performance. I own a Treo 650.

2.0 out of 5 stars Warning, do not expect it to work with non-Sony phones, May 11, 2006
This review is from: Sony Ericsson Akono Bluetooth Headset HBH-608 for all Bluetooth phones- DPY901482/2 (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I have a Motorola RAZR and an HBH-608 Sony Ericsson Bluetooth headset. After 2 months it stopped transmitting, though it continued to link and I could hear the other side saying "Hello? Hello?" Nowhere does SE say this product is guaranteed only for use with SE phones so they refused warranty service. Only after many angery words did they proceed to cover the item, but they don't claim it will work any better. Consider yourself warned!

I had one for ages but got mugged and now it's gone. :-( I'm buying a replacement one. Wouldn't think of buying anything else.

Worked great with my Sony Ericsson 525a phone. Great sound, and no complaints from people on the other end of the call. Got continually crushed in my purse and doused with hair dye and kept working great. Easy button to pick up a call. So comfortable, I was continually forgetting I had it on.

5.0 out of 5 stars replacement ear hooks, August 17, 2008

I've had this headset for about two years and it works great; I actually thought I lost the first one I had and bought another, so now I have two. Both of the earhooks ended up breaking and since the unit works so well I just wanted to replace them. Sony doesn't make it easy to find, unfortunately, but once I did a live chat with "Agent Amy" in less than 5 minutes I had a link and completed the order: http://sonyericsson.warrantyprograms.net/PhoneAccessories.aspx?phone=303&pic=
Based on some other reviews I read, I was expecting to get some flack, but it couldn't have been easier.

I knew nothing about Bluetooths when I decided I needed one for my very small phone. This was round two, first choice would not interface. Received this one without instructions and could not get it to work; called Sony and was told that this model is no longer in production and that the battery may be dead - good luck, it can't be replaced. After much fussing, I called the 3rd party provider. They were kind enough to walk me through set up and pairing and I was up and running in a flash. The ear piece is moderately comfortable, reception tends to breakup unless I keep the phone with me. I use it only when necessary; for the price, it gets the job done.

This is actually my second HBH-608 - I lost my first one I liked it so much I bought a second. Clarity is great. Callers don't recognize that I'm using a bluetooth headset. The only issue I've found is that once you get @ 15 - 20 feet away from your phone the quality is poor. I'm really never that far away from my phone if I'm having a conversation so that's no big deal. I'd recommend this headset. The included necklace is a nice added extra. You don't always have to have the headset up to your ear. When not on the phone you can let the headpiece hang from the necklace around your neck.

4.0 out of 5 stars First Bluetooth Headset, Works like a Charm!!!, August 7, 2006
This review is from: Sony Ericsson Akono Bluetooth Headset HBH-608 for all Bluetooth phones- DPY901482/2 (Wireless Phone Accessory)
Ive had my Samsung A900 now for about 2 months and when I first got it i posted a monster review on it (the good and bad)at Howardforums.com....Check out the Samsung Forums and Mobile Phone Reviews...Anyway the only thing i didnt review is the bluetooth on this phone...

I finally got a headset, the Sprint HBH-608 made by Sony Ericsson and this thing is pretty dam good....

I got this bad boy yesterday, charged it all nite and used it for most of the day today...The result is very good. The clarity is amazing, no static what so ever (and believe me when i say this bc my friend got a headset free with his cingular phone and it sucked big time, alot of interference and today i found out it stopped working all together)...so im pretty lucky thus far...The range is very good as well although i havent tested it to its limit yet....its a silver and chrome piece with a loop around your ear, a simple volume button and power on button is alll that is on there...

Connection to my phone was the easiet thing i have done yet...find new device, found new device, add new device (rename if you want) and then click connect..and start using the headset....

Now ive never been one to use a bluetooth headset(matter of fact this is my first one) but this is a very good set, the only thing that would prevent me from saying this is an absolute A+ is the fact that its minorly uncorfortable around the ear, but other than that i give it a straight up A for quality, reception and ease of use!!!!

Watch for another review of a different headset to follow bc i think my girlfriend might have gotten me one today (one of the motorolas) so the comparison might be interesting..

5.0 out of 5 stars It works perfectly with my Blackjack II, January 28, 2009

I have the Samsung Blackjack II and this bluetooth works perfectly for this phone. I ordered the bluetooth from Amazon about a year ago, and it still works like new. I am not sure what none-Sony phone the other reviewer has, but I can say that this bluetooth does work with my Samsung phone. The voice quality is excellent (I guess that's what Sony is good at - audio qualities) comparing to other bluetooths that I've tried. And it does filter out background noise relatively well. Compare to other models, the sound quality is definitely more stereo than monotone. The only thing I don't like about it is the ear hook so I don't use it. The bluetooth earpiece fits in my ear pretty securely so that's how I've been using it so far. I am thinking about getting a rubber plug to make it more tight-fitting.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works for me!, August 30, 2007

I've had the Akono HBH608 for about 5 months now and paired it with the Sony Ericsson Z525A. It's light, easy to pair and easy to use. Both the on/off button (which doubles as the voice and redial button) along with the volume toggle, are easy to find and have a nice feel to them. I also find the sound quality to be pretty good for a mono ear piece.

The only minor annoyance is the volume toggle switch - it rattles a bit when you move around too much. There are quite a few people that complain about a painful fit but try it on if you can before buying - it fits fine for me. It works well enough that I bought a second one for my wife.
