4.0 out of 5 stars Recommend the HBH-608 headset, September 3, 2005

This review is from: Ericsson Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I purchased this about a month ago so I've given it a descent test drive. It was a bit of a leap of faith purchasing it since I could not find any reviews on it and was unable to find it locally. This is my second Bluetooth headset. I use this headset with a Sony Ericsson P800 phone.

Style is one of the best in opinion. This is what originally interested me about this particular headset. It is small and slim. Many models have the bulky look and feel. Boom styles work well but I just can not get into looking like an Air Traffic Controller or teenage rock star while driving in my car. At least minimize that affect.

Battery life is great. I charge it once a week just for the sake of charging it. I use it about 30min a day on average during my commutes and have yet to run the battery completely down.

Volume controls are easy to use and work well. Sometimes I find it's not loud enough but if I switch to my phone the volume is not any better so that may not entirely be the headset.

Clarity is good as well. Baring the occasional bad connect due to the provider, I've had no issue with clarity.

The Microphone works fine. The only time I have had complaints is when I had my window down while driving on the freeway. Beyond that, people tell me they can hear me just fine.

Comfort is good however if there was a single improvement to be made this is where I would recommend it be made. It is fairly comfortable as it is. I can last about 45 min before I need to switch ears. Also notice that wearing glasses at the same time quickens the discomfort factor. Obviously this is something that would differ from person to person.

Works fine with voice activation calling.

In the end, if it's not out of your budget I would recommend this headset.

Hope this helps.

2.0 out of 5 stars I am returning mine, February 17, 2006
This review is from: Ericsson Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I bought this headset along with my new Palm Treo 650 phone. Since the phone had bluetooth, I thought it would be nice to have a wireless headset for convenience and safety (in car).

The first night I used it at home I loved it. Nice sound, easy to use. My only complaint was that the device was not more adjustable; it was not as comfortable as other wired headsets I have used.

The next day I used it while in the car and found I hated the thing. I ended up pluggin in my old wired headset. First of all, I could not get the volume up high enough to hear the callers over the car's wind noise. I also could not get the speaker closer to my ear (lack of adjustments). However, the straw that broke the camel's back was that half the calls I made / received did not connect from the phone to the headset.

Nice idea. Not ready for prime-time.

5.0 out of 5 stars This piece is sick, March 24, 2007
This review is from: Ericsson Bluetooth Headset (Wireless Phone Accessory)
If your looking for a great, non expensive, mid sized and fashionable ear piece, then this is for you. One can talk as far as 30 feet away from the phone. Excellent noise reduction feature. The clarity it provides is ridiculous. About the size of pen. Volume control buttons makes the the ear piece work for you and not you work for the ear piece. It's not too big but yet not too small either. Big enough not to loose easily and small enough to fit in small pocket. It comes in gray, black or white. Looks cool but professional. When placed correctly on the ear, you will forget it's even there. Very lightweight. Sometimes I forget its on my ear and even fall asleep with it. Thats how great it feels. I forget what its like to hold a phone to my ear because I don't talk without it. Don't waste your money on those flimsey Motorolla headsets. Be different and go with quality.
