The K810i boasts a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus and a Xenon flash.

This unlocked cell phone can be used with a GSM network service provider and it provides tri-band connectivity (900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 1900 MHz) as well as GPRS data connectivity. It does not come with a SIM card, and it requires that you provide a SIM card for usage with your selected service provider.

When paired with a compatible 3G network that uses UMTS 2100 MHz connectivity (found in Europe and Asia), you'll enjoy a variety of feature-rich wireless services with speeds up to 384 Kbps--from data connectivity to your office to multimedia streaming, and take advantage of simultaneous voice and data services. In the United States and foreign territories where 2100 MHz 3G networks are not available, you'll continue to receive data service via EDGE network (depending on network compatibility).

Phone Features
The candybar-style K810i has standard send/end and soft keys and a five-way navigation pad below the phone's screen, as well as round, dotted numeric keypad buttons for added style and easy pressing. Illuminated camera icons to the side of the main keypad, which light up when in camera mode, allow you to access camera menu options at the touch of a button. The 2-inch screen has a 240 x 320-pixel resolution and a 256K color depth. The phone has a 64 MB memory, which can be expanded via Memory Stick Micro (M2) media, and it can store up to 1000 contact entries with storage for multiple phone numbers and support for photo and ringer ID. The phone also displays the most recent 30 received/dialed/missed calls.

Unlike one-size-fits-all fixed focus, this 3.2-megapixel camera phone's auto focus homes in on the subject in the centre of the screen, so you capture exactly what you want. It includes a BestPic mode, which lets you take nine photos in quick succession when you press the shutter button. Select Photo fix to improve pictures that you think can be better. In a one-click operation, brightness, light and contrast are adjusted to give you the best possible picture.

It can also capture video in QCIF resolution (176 x 144 pixels, 15 frames per second), and it provides support for PictBridge technology so you can print your still photos without the need of a PC (either using USB or Bluetooth). The phone includes a secondary VGA camera on the front of the phone for making video calls (compatible network required).

The digital audio player is compatible with MP3 and AAC/AAC+ formats. Additionally, you can play MPEG4 and 3GPP videos. With the TrackID service, you can identify any song that you can hear by just recording a snippet of sound using the microphone. After sending the file for recognition, you'll have the name, artist and album sent to your phone. It also includes a built-in FM radio with RDS, which displays the name of the currently playing song (when tuned to compatible radio stations).

This phone provides Bluetooth version 2.0 wireless connectivity with EDR (enhanced data rate), and includes profiles for communication headset, handsfree car kits, and audio/video remote control. With the A2DP Bluetooth profile, you can stream your music to a pair of compatible Bluetooth stereo headphones. You can connect your laptop (either via Bluetooth or wired USB) and enjoy dial-up networking--surf the Internet, send email, and access files from a server.

If you're looking for a mobile productivity partner, the K810i has you covered. Support is built in for sending and receiving pictures, text, graphics, and sound via MMS messages. When used in combination with the phone's built-in still and video camera, MMS opens up a whole new world of messaging possibilities. T9 text entry, a technology that makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets, is built into the unit-- a plus for mobile email and text messaging users.

The phone also ships with a built-in email client with support for POP3 and IMAP4 protocols, while the included Access NetFront Web Browser allows you to surf full HTML web sites. The K660i also supports RSS feeds, allowing you to use your phone to view up-to-the-minute news and other content from selected Web sites and blogs. Building on the success of the K790/K800 introduced last year, the new K810 adds a number of features that make the 3.2 megapixel autofocus cameraphone even more camera-like. Like the K790/K800 before it, the K810 supports Sony Ericsson's BestPic feature that takes up to 9 photos in rapid succession and lets the K810 user quickly select which photos should be kept, and which should be discarded. New, however, is the K810’s hardware camera setting keys that light up when the camera is activated. These buttons allow settings such as image resolution to be changed and the self-timer to be activated without having to fumble through on-screen menus.Other camera related highlights include an active lens cover, a new Xenon flash with red eye reduction, and a new software based image optimization system that can fix exposure and contrast problems in a photo after it has been taken. Photos taken with the camera can be quickly uploaded to the user's personal blog with the K810's Picture Blogging support.Other multimedia features of note on the K810 include the music and video player, support for TrackID, which lets the user identify songs played on the radio, and a built-in FM receiver with RDS support. Photos, videos, and music tracks can be stored on the K810's included 128MB Memory Stick Micro memory card or in the 64MB of internal storage. I've owned the k700 (stolen), k750 (returned to employer when I quit), k800 (wife washed with clothes) and now the k810 and the k810 is the best of the lot. Round buttons are easier to use than old square ones, camera (with excellent flash) takes detailed photos, and I find the software much easier to use than Nokia, Siemens or Motorola. k810 is also thinner than earlier k series, camera cover less lumpy, and phone feels very solid. Screen is very bright and sharp, and scratch resistant. I have a 1 GB card in it, so I never worry about filling it up with photos, mp3s, etc., phone connects to windows, mac and linux via (supplied) USB cable. Battery goes almost a week on a charge with steady use.

It's a great phone, as it supports java you can add tons of apps, the built-in memory is small but you can add a 4GB card, yes, 4GB even though the manual says it only supports 2GB i'm using a 4GB Sandisk M2 and it works fine. The camera is pretty good, one of the best on a cell phone but still no match for a real digital camera.

The only thing I don't like is that you can't have 3G on AT&T with this phone, it just doesn't have the right frequency, you only get voice and messaging.
