Amazon.com Product Description

With a design inspired by the Nordic light, the amazingly thin Sony Ericsson T650i fuses illumination effects with a stainless steel finish and scratch-proof mineral glass. Measuring just 12.5mm thin (0.49 inches), it's packed full of communication features to keep you connected and entertained wherever you roam: tri-mode GSM, connectivity for 2100 MHz 3G networks (found in Europe and Asia), Bluetooth with stereo music streaming, and an integrated FM radio. Other features include a 3.2-megapixel camera with video capture, Access NetFront web browser with RSS feeds, and Memory Stick Micro (M2) expansion slot.

This slim 3G phone conceals a high performance feature set, including 3.2-megapixel camera, full web browser, and digital audio player.
This unlocked cell phone can be used with a GSM network service provider and it provides tri-band connectivity (900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 1900 MHz). It does not come with a SIM card, and it requires that you provide a SIM card for usage with your selected service provider. When paired with a compatible 3G network that uses UMTS 2100 MHz connectivity (found in Europe and Asia), you'll enjoy a variety of feature-rich wireless services with speeds up to 384 Kbps--from data connectivity to your office to multimedia streaming, and take advantage of simultaneous voice and data services. In the United States and foreign territories where 2100 MHz 3G networks are not available, you'll continue to receive data service via EDGE network (depending on network compatibility).

The 1.9-inch display has a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and support for 256K colors. Scratch-proof mineral glass is placed directly onto the screen, which makes the colors more intense, improves visibility in bright environments, and widens the viewing angle of the screen up to 170 degrees. The unique illumination effects on the keypad and the sides of the phone interact with animations on the screen. As these animations move across the display they set off waves of light around the keypad, which stand-out against the reflective stainless steel finish.

The back of the phone includes the autofocus 3.2-megapixel camera, which is protected by a lens cover and features a xenon flash. Camera features include choices of four resolutions--from 640 x 480 pixels (VGA) to 2048 x 1536 pixels (3MP)--panorama mode, red-eye reduction, spot metering, a macro setting, and image stabilization. The camcorder function enables you to capture 176 x 144-pixel resolution video clips (QCIF) in MPEG4 format.

The T650i's mineral glass display is scratch-resistant and crystal-clear even in bright sunlight.

I have an extensive history with cell phones. I've used most Motorola brands: V190, Razr V3, Rizr Z3, and a few others: Samsung T509, Nokia 8801 (ugh). All these phones have had serious flaws that resulted in me immediately getting a new phone within a month or so. I will be comparing the T650i to these phones.

Quick Summary: The Sony Ericsson T650i is the best phone I've used yet. I seriously think this one is a keeper. It is a cell phone that actually works and functions like it should.

Audio Quality:
The ear piece is very loud and very easy to understand (unlike the Razr) even when driving with the window down! I actually have to turn it down a few notches (what a concept!) because it is so loud. The static I heard with the Rizr Z3 is nonexistent in the T650i. I also get several bars more of reception with the T650i in my room (a dead spot) and at work.

Build Quality:
The build quality of the T650i is excellent. It has a solid feel in your hand. It is light (not as heavy as the Nokia 8801) and very solid - no rattles/creaks when you shake it/squeeze it. The only complaint: the video button is far enough down that I am hitting it a lot while I am talking - so that will take some getting used to. The top end is rounded nicely so it doesn't cut into your ear while you talk. The back cover EASILY comes off (unlike Nokia 8801). The back cover is a little loose (movable) when connected but I can live with that.

Keypad & Menu Setups:
The keypad is definitely small. If you have large hands/fingers (I do) it can take some getting used to. However, I've lived with small keypads in the last several phones I used (8801, Rizr, Razr, etc...) so it isn't too bad.

I am enjoying this phone tremendously! I would have given it a rating of five stars but I can't get the screen saver to stay off for more than thirty seconds. Everything else works great!
The camera is awesome, the video camera is even more awesome and the phone to computer transfer is one of the best features you could ask for on this phone.
There are so many things that you can do with this phone and it is very stylish too.
